Not the flavor I expect from Maraschino Cherries. Perhaps they are fine for baking, but not at all good for garnishing drinks and desserts. They are also not the exceptional value I would have expected. I had been buying Great Value Maraschino Cherries in 16 oz jars from Walmart. I had saved the 16 oz jars. By the numbers, this 74 oz jar should have filled approx 4.6 jars. In actuality, the 74 oz jar only filled approx 3.5 jars. Doing the math... the 3.5 jars cost me $3.14 each. The Great Value Maraschino Cherries cost $3.86 and are of a MUCH better flavor! There are many broken cherries and many others have visible and unsightly large holes in them.

I bought this jar maybe 10 years ago and the cherries were crammed in there and it was full to the top. Well, I just purchased this one and there are very little cherries and mostly water in this huge jar!!! The cherries are aimlessly floating around in liquid and in the past there were so many cherries they couldn't even move! I hardly think I'll get the 3 cups of cherries that I need for my recipe out of this huge jar full of water!! Rip off!
