[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TV is beautiful. The col ors are vivid. Black is truly black, as its supposed to be in an OLED. Motion and brightness are good. The biggest negative to state about the TV is its representation of near-black. As mentioned, black shows up truly black. But frankly, almost black also shows up as black. What this means is that it is really challenging to see detail in dark scenes. This is especially noticeable in HDR and Dolby Vision. Perhaps there is user error, but I've configured according to guides and am in Filmmaker mode, in a dark room, with proper brightness. There is a setting to make the blacks less black which does bring detail, but also makes the blacks into gray. At that point though, you shouldn't get an OLED. Only other nit is the ads that are plastered all over the TV. Crazy that a TV this premium has so many advertisements. At least they can be turned off (as of now), but honestly, they shouldn't be on by default.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the LF G5 83" to replace my old 55" LCD TV. The difference is between day and night. I researched between multiple models and brands, before deciding on the LG G5 83" on the reviews. The picture quality is amazing even in my living room with bright lights. There's no problem with glare at all. The picture is crisp, bright and clear. The sound is amazing even without the need for any soundbar. After adding the LG soundbar package, it is even better. You will not go wrong with the LG G5 83". With all the built-in app, I don't even need my A****TV anymore. It is well worth the money.

Stand is at the center and appears unstable (my older LG has two each at the edges) and tilted makes eye distance farther on the top side than the bottom which may have strained my eyes. The four star is because of the stand, otherwise TV is 5 star. Tried to call LG if they can change to wall mount service and return the stand, but they said they can't do. So, I would probably return the TV and buy it again with wall mount. I have all appliances and TVs only LG, love it.

It’s a genuine leap forward for OLED tech, the contrast, color saturation and natural presentation are out of this world. If you care about picture quality – then this TV is a no-brainer. My entire family was stunned when it went up in ut living room- there is a 3D effect to the overall picture that draws you in. Sports are so life like- almost a coaches view of the games. My son connected his PS for gaming and was floored by the realism, color and contrast. In essence, this is the best TV I have ever seen and I am thrilled that it sits in the middle of my living room.

Filmmaker mode looks odd, so would need to switch to Cinema mode for "old" Filmmaker functionality that I saw in my 77inch CX model. Sound quality is great, better than expected coming from the TV itself. The UI in the CX is much better than what is available in the G5: the screensaver pushes ads constantly, if you let the TV idle, it'll play ads. I still need to mess around with the settings to see how I can disable these ads or if it's even possible to disable them in the first place. Much brighter than the CX. The one feature so far that I've noticed does not work is the Screen Share for laptops/PCs. Maybe this can be fixed in the future with a software update but as of now, I can only mirror my phone using Google Cast but sharing PC screen does not work as it did in the CX. The magic remote that came with the CX is miles better than the one that comes with the G5. There is no dedicated mute button so you have to sit there with your thumb on the volume until it goes all the way down. The cursor movement is controlled by the "enter" button as was in the CX remote but it seems much easier to accidentally enable the cursor when you're trying to press enter with this new remote. Overall, the experience and picture quality has been great so far. I'm hoping that some of the issues that I've experienced can be remedied by messing with the settings, waiting for a future software update, and possibly buying a different remote that is compatible with the G5.

I reviewed a large number of televisions before purchasing, including all new televisions from all the main companies but in the end I went for 65" LG and I could not be happier, the picture quality is excellent, 4K movies are striking and at times appear to have a 3D effect even though I know it is not a 3D television. When it comes to color, there is nothing negative I can say, I watched 4K demo clips on You Tube and the colors just popped and were so vibrant. I am a 73 year old pensioner and this is the first product I have felt deserved a 10 out of 10 review.

Buying an 83-inch TV sounded like a ridiculous idea… until I turned this thing on. Now it feels like the smartest purchase I’ve made in years. This G5 basically transformed my whole apartment. It’s literally one giant wall of picture. Movies look insane — like I’m sitting in a private IMAX that just happens to be attached to my kitchen. The colors, the brightness, the detail… it’s on another level. Even during the day with sunlight blasting in, the screen still looks perfect. My old OLED couldn’t do that. Gaming? Forget it. The PS5 on this TV is stupid good. Zero lag, everything feels buttery smooth, and the size just pulls you into the game. It’s honestly a little addicting. The design is another big win. Since it sits flat against the wall, it doesn’t make my place feel cluttered. That mattered a lot for a studio — it actually makes the room look bigger, not smaller. Sound is okay, but I added a soundbar because if you’re going this big, you might as well go all in. If you’re in a small apartment and debating whether an 83-inch TV is “too much,” trust me — it’s not. It’s the best kind of overkill.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had the OLED65G56LS in the house for a week now, and yeah… it’s the kind of TV that makes you want to rewatch everything just to see what you’ve been missing. First thing: the picture is unreal. Proper deep blacks — not “dark grey pretending to be black.” Actual black. And because of that, everything else pops without looking fake. Faces look natural, colours look rich, and you don’t get that weird glow around bright objects in dark scenes. It just looks clean. Motion is spot on too. Fast scenes stay sharp, sports looks smooth, and it doesn’t turn people into blurry ghosts when they move too quickly. I notice that stuff straight away, and this handles it well. Sound-wise, it’s better than I expected for a thin TV. I’m not saying it replaces a full sound system, but for normal watching it’s clear, it’s got decent punch, and dialogue doesn’t get lost when a show decides to throw background music at you like it’s the main character. Also: it’s a proper nice-looking TV. One of those that actually makes the room look better instead of just being a big black rectangle hanging there. The design feels solid and premium. So yeah, if you want a TV that feels like a bit of an upgrade every time you switch it on, the OLED65G56LS does that. I’m genuinely chuffed with it.

The brightness on this Tandem OLED panel is unbelievable—it matches the intensity of my old TV but adds perfect blacks and contrast. The picture is flawless with zero "dirty screen effect," and I could not be happier with the picture quality. I paired it with the LG S95AR soundbar system, and the integration is seamless. Gaming on my Xbox Series X at 4K 120Hz is incredible. This setup offers incredible value for flagship performance. Highly recommended!

I was so surprised by the design- it truly looks like a piece of art hanging on the wall and not at all like your standard TV. Its thin, and the edging/frame is hardly visible- from a distance, it looks like its just the actual image on the wall. I can't wait to watch football season on this!!
