Lg G5 65 tv

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the lg G5 65inch very very good tv. Have to mess around with the setting a lot to get the picture correct and stop the soap screen effect. For the cost of it I did expect slightly better for the top dog. The brightness is fab and little glare too. Reason for 4 star is the cost of it. Also be aware that when removing the packaging you can get a static electric shock from the tv

Disappointing :(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To get straight to the point…. Picture quality and sound quality are amazing. There are a lot of options in settings. It sits flat against the wall. However, the operative system (web iOS I believe) is quite disappointing and annoying. “Home Screen” several section that if you don’t need, you can’t remove. For example there is a “card section” for various services. Even though you can remove all the “cards” you are still left with massive notification “add cards…”. Above all there is a random photo with a notification “start new experience…” and “go to apps”. I don’t understand why that is there. I’m already using apps which are displayed directly underneath and also I have been using TV for quite some time so there is no need for “welcome to webOS”. Below that there are shortcuts to “device functions” aka guides for new users. Once again, there is no need for that as I have been using tv and yet you can’t remove that either. All in all, this webOS reminds me of early android phones that had loads of bloatware and you couldn’t remove it. If I knew this upfront I would have not purchased this TV, now I’m stuck with a premium product that operates like a low end android phone.

Adequate

It’s an excellent TV - but you expect that for the price. I’ve taken a star off because: 1) the screen is very glossy and reflective - makes it hard to get the best except in pitch black conditions. 2) the brushed aluminium trim round the outside of the bezel is ‘meh’ given the bezel is black, the TV is black, the trim should also be black. As it is, it catches the eye and not in a good way. 3) the screen is not flat. Nothing that effects the performance as a TV and I’m sure it’s within tolerance, but side on you can see the distortions in the reflections from the slight ‘hills and valleys’ in the screen. It does the job, and I won’t be sending it back, but next time I’ll probably try the Samsung equivalent.

Fantastic TV - AAA product - pure cinema

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this TV - fantastic viewing experience, good sound too (for TV speakers) and it's user-face is really easy to use. The flush wall mount is great as well - I was sceptical at first but it looks great in the living room. I hope it holds up for years to come.

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought as a second TV after buying and being really impressed with a OLED55G56LS. The OLED48G56LS is a different design rather than just a smaller panel and nowhere as good a picture. Be aware and cautious if you only see the 55.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for choosing LG again following your positive experience with the OLED55G56LS. We’re sorry to hear that the OLED48G56LS hasn’t met your expectations. While both TVs sit within the same G5 OLED range, there are some differences between screen sizes, including panel characteristics and design choices, which can affect perceived picture performance. Factors such as brightness levels, processing optimisation, and viewing distance can also influence how the image appears compared with a larger model. We appreciate you highlighting this for other customers, as it’s always helpful to compare specifications carefully when choosing different screen sizes. If you’d like assistance reviewing picture settings or exploring alternative models that may better suit your expectations, we’d be happy to help.

Picture quality excellent, sound hopeless.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would have given this G5 TV six stars but for the useless sound coming from the TV. No matter what setting using Hi speed cables, the speech and surround sounds are a muffle at best. The picture quality is beautiful and anything in UHD will blow you away. Settings for sound could be hugely improved with an update. It is no secret to owners that the wow orchestra setting is nxt best thing to hopeless. For the price I expected more flexibilty.

Excellent TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent TV. Picture is crisp with outstanding range of colour and contract. The different picture and sound modes are very useful and effective. Very impressive is the upscaling standar recordings look much crisper and dynamic. Only been using it a week but more than impressed so far. Would recommend purchasing a soundbar to pair with the TV to bring out the best sound.

Worthy of top spot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bright and Flawlessly Clear picture quality. Only slight issue i have faced so far is video lagging when adverts appear during using prime video app. The sound comes from the advert but the video streaming starts lagging

Absolutely Stunning – The Best TV I’ve Ever Owned!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently upgraded to the 65-inch LG OLED evo AI G5 4K, and I can confidently say this is hands down the most impressive TV I’ve ever owned. From the moment I turned it on, I was blown away by the incredible picture quality — deep, inky blacks, perfect contrast, and colors that just pop off the screen without ever looking oversaturated. Every scene feels cinematic, and the level of detail is jaw-dropping. The AI Picture and Sound Pro features really do make a difference. The TV automatically optimizes brightness and tone based on the room lighting and the content, so whether I’m watching a movie at night or sports in daylight, it always looks amazing. The α11 AI Processor is super fast, and the motion handling is buttery smooth — ideal for gaming and live sports. Speaking of gaming, the Game Optimizer and HDMI 2.1 ports make this TV a dream for my PS5. Input lag is practically nonexistent, and the graphics look unreal in 4K with HDR. The design is another highlight — the G5’s Gallery Style mount sits flush against the wall, giving it a sleek, modern look that blends beautifully into my living room. Even the webOS interface is intuitive and snappy, with all the major streaming apps ready to go right out of the box. Sound quality is rich and clear, and with AI Sound Pro, it feels like voices and effects are coming from all around the room. I was surprised at how immersive it is even without a soundbar. In short, the LG OLED evo AI G5 is a masterpiece of TV technology. It’s bright, smart, elegant, and built to impress. Whether you’re into movies, sports, or gaming, this TV elevates everything you watch. Highly recommend — worth every penny!

Outstanding OLED TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unbelievable Picture Quality! I haven't upgraded my TV for about 7 years, and can't believe how far we've come. This TV far exceeded all expectations, and since seeing it several family members are now saving for a new LG OLED. Can't recommend this highly enough.
