Great for gaming and movies
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 83in LG G5 is an amazing tv. The tv's features for gaming are top tier. The refresh rate and four 2.1 hdmi ports are amazing for gaming. The picture quality is great for movies and TV, but that is expected from OLED tv's with perfect contrast. LG is my favorite tv brand and they have great quality OLEDs for the price. I am a fan of Dolby vision which the other top brands do not have so It is another reason to go LG. The sound quality is better than previous years, but if you combine it with an LG soundbar for WOW Orchestra it is amazing. The AI sound pro setting allows for crystal clear voice while still enjoying the full affect of Dolby Atmos.
Hi. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your LG TV. It’s fantastic to hear how much you’re enjoying the 83-inch LG G5, especially with its top-tier gaming features like the refresh rate and four HDMI 2.1 ports. We’re glad the OLED picture quality continues to impress for movies and TV, and that Dolby Vision and AI Sound Pro have elevated your experience even further. Pairing it with an LG soundbar for WOW Orchestra sounds like the perfect setup! Thanks for choosing LG! #LifeisGood ^James
WOW! This TV Totally Transformed Our Family Room!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just upgraded to the LG 83” G5 OLED, and all I can say is WOW. Our family room has a full wall of windows, and I was worried about glare — but this thing gets bright! The picture stays crystal clear and colorful even on sunny afternoons. Movies look incredible (I like the "Film maker" preset), and sports are super smooth — no motion blur at all. The Gallery design is very high end and sleek looking. Our purchase included both the "wall mount" and the "stand". Everyone who has visited so far has commented on the incredible picture of the unit! Setup was easy, webOS runs fast, and the Magic Remote is super handy. Sound is fine for everyday shows, but we actually have a 5.1 surround system hooked up with it and it really creates an incredible movie night! Pros: Amazing brightness, beautiful picture, sleek design, easy to use. Cons: Pricey (but worth it in my opinion!), built-in speakers are okay but I'd at least add a nice soundbar. If you want a bright, premium TV that makes family movie nights and game days feel special — this is the one!

The Ultimate 83″ OLED for Movies & Gaming
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OLED83G5WUA is a knockout. True OLED blacks, bright HDR, and silky motion make movies and sports look cinematic. Gaming is elite (VRR/ALLM, super-low lag), and the ultra-sleek design hugs the wall with a fast smart platform. It’s pricey and huge to install, but if you want reference-level picture at a massive size, this is the one. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Drop Dead Gorgeous Display
Stunning picture but serious issue with volume output. I connected the TV to my stereo receiver using an optical cable and the volume was very low. I almost sent the TV back. The wall mount bracket that comes with the TV was relatively easy to install but the instructions were terrible - the available video cleared up my questions. No printed manual and the online manual offered zero information. The onscreen manual isn't much better.
Hello. Thank you for sharing your experience with your LG TV. It’s great to hear the picture quality has impressed you and that the wall mount bracket installation went smoothly with help from the video guide. We understand how important it is for your audio setup to deliver the same level of performance, and low volume output through an optical connection can be limiting. Excellent UHD 65" TV choice!
Excellent picture quality and the sound is not bad when I don't run it through my amplifier. The remote took a couple of trys to get use to- just make sure you have a steady hand when making your selection. This is my first LG tv purchase but last year's version of the 65 inch was rated at the top in Consumers Reports. I have other LG products in our kitchen refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. They alll perform very well and purchased them to replace other products that stopped working and all highly rated in Consumers Reports. Excellent colors, blacks, and Chromes. Sharpness and Motion spot on. Watching a UHD Blu-ray DVD is A treat as well as streaming!
Best of the best!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, you're looking at the LG G5, which is basically LG saying, "Hey, we made OLED even brighter and slapped it on your wall." Seriously, this thing is built to look like a piece of art hanging flush, but when you turn it on, it stops acting all subtle. The picture quality is just nuts. You get that famous, perfect OLED black level, but now it's cranked way up thanks to the "Brightness Booster Ultimate." This means even if your living room is super sunny, you can actually see all the details in the shadows, which is a big win. Plus, it has this crazy Alpha 11 AI Processor that makes everything look sharp and handles color like a total pro. If you’re into movies and want that true theater vibe but don't want to live in a cave, this is a serious contender. But let's be real, this is also a gaming monster. It rocks a native 120Hz refresh rate but can push up to 165Hz with VRR, plus it has all the bells and whistles like G-Sync and FreeSync. If you're running a PS5, Xbox Series X, or a high-end PC, the response time is practically instant (less than 0.1ms!), so your games look fluid and snappy on that huge screen. So, it's a massive, beautiful, future-proof TV, but you definitely have to commit to its "gallery" lifestyle.

Shine of my home theater
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really confused between a cheaper bigger vs the quality LG OLED. I finally decided to get 83 inch G5 and I am happy with my choice. The quality is much better as compared to other mini led TV. The quality can never be matched by any other manufacturer at this time. LG is the OLED king and this is my second OLED with them.
Hi Prashank, thank you for sharing your experience with the LG OLED83G5WUA. It’s great to hear the stunning picture quality has made such a strong impact on your home theater and confirmed your choice over other options. We’re glad your second LG OLED has lived up to the reputation and delivered the performance you were looking for. Can't go wrong with OLED, 4 stars due to issues
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TV itself is great. Filmmaker mode looks odd, so would need to switch to Cinema mode for "old" Filmmaker functionality that I saw in my 77inch CX model. Sound quality is great, better than expected coming from the TV itself. The UI in the CX is much better than what is available in the G5: the screensaver pushes ads constantly, if you let the TV idle, it'll play ads. I still need to mess around with the settings to see how I can disable these ads or if it's even possible to disable them in the first place. Much brighter than the CX. The one feature so far that I've noticed does not work is the Screen Share for laptops/PCs. Maybe this can be fixed in the future with a software update but as of now, I can only mirror my phone using Google Cast but sharing PC screen does not work as it did in the CX. The magic remote that came with the CX is miles better than the one that comes with the G5. There is no dedicated mute button so you have to sit there with your thumb on the volume until it goes all the way down. The cursor movement is controlled by the "enter" button as was in the CX remote but it seems much easier to accidentally enable the cursor when you're trying to press enter with this new remote. Overall, the experience and picture quality has been great so far. I'm hoping that some of the issues that I've experienced can be remedied by messing with the settings, waiting for a future software update, and possibly buying a different remote that is compatible with the G5.
Hello, Manik. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your LG TV. We’re delighted to hear that the TV itself is great. Best OLED on the market!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG G5 OLED is an incredible TV. It has perfect blacks along with the brightness of an LED. This is hands down the best OLED on the market. I have previously owned three different version of the LG C series TVs, and this has by far the best picture quality (Dolby Vision), higher refresh rate for gamers and all of the built in apps you could want. The preset picture modes are great, and one new cool feature is you can customize your own picture mode based on your personal preferences, which is a good addition. The upgraded brightness and sleek wall design of the G series compared to the C series is definitely worth it if you’re a tv enthusiast. The only con (besides the higher price point) is the remote control doesn’t work as well as prior models, but can still get by. You can also connect an Xbox controller directly to the TV through Bluetooth which is a cool wow factor and play games directly through the TV via cloud gaming. Overall am very happy with the TV and would recommend it! The built in tv speakers are pretty good for a tv, but would highly recommend getting a compatible Dolby Atmos capable soundbar as well to take advantage of the best quality sound available.
