The last batch I bought (several months ago) of this all started smelling like rancid oil and gave my lips a rash for several days that left them swollen, raw and very sensitive where I couldn't use anything on them but coconut oil without worsening the rash. My local health food stores no longer have any of the Burts Bees lip balm tins on the shelves, and wonder if there is a recent problem with them. Wanted to try a "fresh" one to see if I could use it. Allergic to petro-chemicals and need to find something for my dry lips. I only gave a 3 rating because of the reaction.

I have a part-time job as a waitress so I interact with people a lot. At work one day, my boss asked me if I had just had a mint and if I had an extra one for him. It turns out that the Burt's Bees Beeswax lip balm that I had just applied had also freshened my breath. I had always likeed the lip balm because of the tingly sensation when putting it on but also because it really keeps my lips soft. Now I have another reason!

I have been using Squeezable Beeswax Lip Balm for awhile now. This is great stuff. I enjoy putting it on, the slanted tip built-in applicator is perfect and keeps your fingers clean. The lip balm feels good on the lips, keeping them soft. The peppermint gives a little tingle and a feeling fresh bonus.

I first tried Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm five or six years ago, and I've been using it ever since. Unlike other lip balms I've tried, the texture of it is perfect; it's neither greasy nor waxy and glides on the lips smoothly. The pleasant tingle relieves sore lips immediately and my lips feel soothed and refreshed for a long time. I've become so spoiled by it that I never want to use any other brand of lip balm.

I purchased this product December of 2017. I had tried this product in the past and enjoyed it, but this time around it was incredibly sticky and drying. Applying it is incredibly difficult--it tugs on your lips and leaves a sticky, thin, uneven film. After a few minutes, it leaves the lips feeling even drier and more taut than before. I've tried to apply this lip balm many times, and have even tried cutting off the top layer to see if the rest was any better, but each time it just leaves the same glue-like feeling. It's a shame, since I'd tried this product a few years ago and enjoyed the cooling feeling and application. I owned the Vanilla Bean lip balm (white I really enjoy) before purchasing the Original, so I was even more disappointed in the product. I regret buying it.

I am a HUGE fan of Burt's Bees and love the smell, taste, and feel of this product. It gives a pleasant tingle when applied that gives the impression of heeling dry or chapped lips. I have used cherry chapstick in the past, but nothing compares to the natural feel of this lip balm! It has a wonderful minty, refreshing smell and the texture is great! I would recomend it to anyone with chapped lips or wants to own a FANTASTIC lip-product.

This is my favorite lip balm, but unfortunately half or more of the tubes in each package fail to retract, making the product far less neat and convenient to use. I hope that the manufacturer will correct this problem. Meanwhile I am in the market for alternative brands.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my favorite Burt Bee's product. I use it daily before applying my lipstick. My lips feel soft and healthy. The sensation I receive when I apply it is amazing. I can feel the beeswax working on my lips.

i simply cannot say enough about this product. when faced with other similar products, they always fall short of this balm. i have it on a pedistal and no others can come near it! its not waxy or overpowerful. it makes my lips soft and smooth, just the right amount of peppermint. i adore this product beyond all others. its perfection in a tiny tube.

This lip balm is probably the best lip balm I have ever used. Not only does it work great to keep my lips moisturized, it doesn't leave my lips greasy or "sticky". Also, this product doesn't wear off! I put this lip balm on before bed and when I wake up my lips are moisturized and the lip balm is still on my lips! Also, I love the tingling sensation you get after applying this to your lips and I love the relaxing peppermint smell! Recommended it to a friend whose very picky about lip balms and she loved it!
