I own almost every type of BB lip balm, including the tinted ones and lip shimmer, but this is the one I always pick up first! I ADORE every lip balm BB has to offer but I think it might be the cooling of the Original that keeps my attention. It's great for summer weather but even in winter it's still nice because it's just so refreshing! The texture is always smooth and silky and it moisturizes like no other!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My lips can get very dry and since I've started using this lip balm my lips are always soft. I can put this on once and I'm set for the day. I also love the smell! I also wear this over matte lipsticks to add moisture.

I have to start by saying that I always used Blistex. This Christmas a family member gave me this as a present and I LOVED IT. Even though the texture is not as smooth as Blistex, this product actually keeps my lips moisturized and hydrated. I can't wait to try the honey lip balm next.

I've been using the Burt's classic peppermint lip balm for so long I can't remember when it all started. All I know is that I can't live without it. There's one in my purse, one in my gym bag and one by my bed - can't sleep without it. Now that the cold season caught up to me I found myself using it to soothe my poor nose from all the kleenex irritation. THEN I found myself at work with an extremely dried out nose, painfully dry. Living in the desert of Arizona is never easy but having a cold makes it impossible. So I pushed up the lip balm and then with my finger took that portion of the product onto my finger tip and then rubbed it between by thumb and index to soften and warm it and... yes, applied it to the inside of my nose. yup. I know it sounds very odd to say the least but it really relieved my painful dryness and also made me breathe easier because the minty vapors cleared my congestion quite a bit. So that's my story, a little graphic but I figured I would share in case anyone else got caught in that situation and needed some nasal relief. Just so you know -- usually I'm very sensitive to menthol-type fragrances and oils on my skin. I can't use peppermint castile soap for that reason. Burt's Bees peppermint has never bothered my skin - even when I don't have hand lotion nearby and I apply it to the back of my hands to moisturize. It's a lifesaver.

OK, my husband is addicted to lip balm. First it was Chap Stick, then Carmex. After working in a cosmetic retail store I learn what was in some of the lip products that I use and that most of it ends up in our digestive system. It was amazing the amount of carcinogens that was consuming. Needless to say, I immediately started looking for a natural product that worked. Well, my husband isn't big on change and that includes his "chap stick"! But once he tried it he loved! We have not tried anything else since.

I first got this lip balm as a gift from my sister. I was surprised at how smoothly it glides on. It is just a little thicker than other lip balms, but that helps to keep the moisture in, and it isn't thick in a bad way. It lasts a lot longer than any other lip balm I've used, even ones that also contain beeswax. It even lasts through gym class (running gets me out of breath easily) and band lessons (I play flute), when the constant flow of air over my lips usually dries them out. If I put it on before bed, I wake up with really soft, healthy-looking (and healthy-feeling!) lips. Even if I get some in my mouth by accident, it really doesn't taste that bad. I have really bad acne, and I'm surprised that the lip balm doesn't cause breakouts around my mouth, unlike other balms that contain petrolatum/petroleum. I think my only qualm about this product is that when it is almost completely used up, I can't easily get to the lip balm at the very bottom.

I use Burt’s Bees lip balm exclusively. Lately I’ve noticed the caps are cracking after first few uses….they never used to do this! Now, with the cracks, the lids don’t stay on snugly. Your Quality Control folks need to take a look at this and rectify. Thanks.

I recently bought the peppermint and vitamin e formula thinking it was the original formula, which it is not. It is not nearly as good. It is not as effective, requires more frequent applications, and tastes different. I have used this for decades and am very sad that Burt’s Bees Original Lip Balm no longer exists,. Why was it changed? Was it to make more profit?

Oh my gosh! I cannot live without the lip balm. I keep one in every jacket/coat pocket, in my purse and one by my bedside. It is soft, smooth and lasts and I love the hint of mint. I have not had winter chapped or summer sundried lips since I began using the lip balm over 2 years ago. Try it. You will LOVE it.

If given the choice between any lip balm in the whole world, I will always go with this one. It has a nice texture, gentle peppermint flavor, and does the trick at soothing dry lips. You just can't mess with perfection! My mother-in-law always slips a few tubes in my Christmas stocking she sends each year, and I always look forward to them.
