Way too much ghosting and too low resolution in 3d
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not sure if my display is just defective (with how bad mine looks that may be the case), but the 3D mode on this monitor looks terrible. I've tried Lies of P, Silent Hill 2, as well as 2d videos with the AI 3d conversion. The games have terrible ghosting, and it looks like the monitor drops down to 480p res once in 3d. I've confirmed it's running at 3840x2160, and I've tried reinstalling the 3d odyssey hub as well as updating firmware. I've tried the monitor on 2 different gaming machines (one with a 4070 ti, one with a 3080) same issue on both

3d effect is really cool
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been really enjoying the Samsung 3D Odyssey—its 3D effects are incredibly immersive and make everything feel more lifelike. Whether I'm watching movies or exploring games, the depth and clarity add a whole new level of excitement. The way objects seem to extend beyond the screen makes the experience feel more dynamic and engaging. Overall, the 3D feature is what truly sets the Odyssey apart for me.
Best Innovative Monitor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Samsung 3D monitor is awesome — the 3D effect works without glasses and really makes games and movies pop. The picture is super sharp, colors look great, and everything runs smooth with the high refresh rate. Even when I’m not using 3D, it’s just a solid, premium monitor that’s fun to use every day.
Amazing 3D, with a few caveats
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Realized I ended up reviewing this on the wrong account. Overall, the 3D looks really really good, and it just pops. There's some minor caveats, with objects which are too close and also on the side of the screen. So the middle of the screen works perfectly fine, but side of the screen for very very close objects can only have one eye address that part of the image, making my eyes unfocused when that happens. Additionally, the HUD in Stellar Blade in particular looks off (and also like the interact symbols when talking to people), maybe cause it's not 3D or something, causing it to jut back in comparison to the actual images. Maybe it would be fixed if this was done in 3D? Not sure if it's a hardware or software limitation. The aiming marker when shooting is also kind of weird which makes the gun portions much harder. Finally, maybe some development of eye tracking (currently using face tracking) may be interesting since some background is very blurred when focusing on close objects (karakuri ending screen), but not sure if that would cause too much flickering or something. Overall though pretty revolutionary tech.
Great 3D: Horrible everything else.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The instructions to get this installed and functioning are non existent. While it brags about FREESYNC compatibility it has in the fine print 2D/3D AI conversion is only for NVIDA. OK fine. At least, allegedly it supports SBS content but no way to play it. If there is, where's the instructions on how to set it up? The HUB software refers to a details screen. WHERE IS IT? The software only allows to select a predefined list of a dozen titles and nothing else. There are no other options. GAMESCAN wont pick up anything. I cant watch or use anything 3D on this monitor other than the floating game boxes bc there are no instructions on how to set up a 2K DOLLAR MONITOR. ABSOLUTLEY TERRIBLE!!! I HATE THIS MONITOR. SENDING IT BACK. WAITED AND WAITED FOR IT only to have the worst experience bc they cant bother with instructions.

Odyssey 3D – Amazing Hardware, Software Needs Work
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Odyssey 3D is a really solid monitor, especially when it comes to the hardware. The 2D picture quality is stunning. Colors are extremely vibrant and the blacks are very deep, making the image pop in a way few monitors do. The screen itself is very bright, which really helps in both games and videos. Even the built-in speakers are better than I expected. They are loud enough for casual use and clear enough to not feel like a total afterthought. When it comes to 3D, the monitor really shines if you are using content that supports it, like certain games. The 2D to 3D conversion is surprisingly good as well, especially with fullscreen videos. I tested it on YouTube videos and it works really well there, giving a noticeable depth effect without being overwhelming. Ghosting and crosstalk are very low, which makes the experience smooth, and the eye tracking is excellent. It allows you to move your head freely without losing the 3D effect, which adds to the immersion. However, the software side leaves a lot to be desired. The Odyssey 3D Hub is very limited. It only launches games and does not support movies, still images, or 3D models, which is disappointing considering the monitor’s potential. On top of that, the software crashes often and sometimes requires a full reinstallation, which can be frustrating. The Hub menu itself has noticeable ghosting, which is a bit annoying. On top of everything, the monitor is a bit pricey, which makes these software issues feel more significant. In short, the Samsung Odyssey 3D is a monitor with amazing hardware. The display quality, 3D effect, and features like eye tracking make it really impressive. The main issues come from the software, which is limited and unstable. If Samsung improves the software in the future, this could easily become one of the best monitors for 3D content out there. Even with the current software problems, it is still worth it if you mainly care about picture quality and 3D performance.
Great monitor, just needs more time
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very impressive monitor overall. The 3d is something you need to see to believe. Still haven’t decided my overall feelings on it and will update overtime. I can’t wait to see more of what this monitor can do. Support is a little lacking at this time, but with mods there are a lot more. Love this monitor overall
Solid 3d monitor with quirks
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the monitor, the features are great 3d with out glasses is definitely amazing. I do wish samsung had better support for there software. They have no place to report software issues or crash reports. But I can't complain to much the experience when this thing works is out of this world.
The future is here
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 3D depth and quality is unmatched by anything else on the market. This is truly a "next generation" technology. Despite not being an OLED, the panel quality is very high. Great color accuracy. One of the few monitors to still feature a glossy finish. The screen size and resolution also leads to great PPI.
Great 3D Effect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great monitor with good connectivity 1 display port and 2x HDMI. The 4k display looks great especially when gaming in 3D. The refresh rate is 165hz which is decent but can be better. The monitor is 27 inches which is decent, if Samsung does do a revision of this monitor, they should offer the monitor in 34 in variant. Regardless the monitor is one of a kind, not that many 3D monitors available. The 3D works great with the supported games. Non-supported games will take a few modifications to get them to work, will work great after.
