These lights are just beautiful! The options you have are so vast and if the preset ones are not enough, the DIY options are there to make them exactly how you want! I can't wait to get more and go around the house and our equipment barn! If you can't tell by now, I HIGHLY recommend these for your outdoor lighting needs!

The Govee Pro is the way to go if you are going to need cuts and extensions. I was amazed at how bright the lights were at just 40% brightness. It took me about 2 hours total to install around 75 feet, which included installing extra wire clips (ones not included) to ensure everything stays in place without any wires sagging. The ONLY con I have is the lack of instructions on how to utilize the app with them. You will have to use Google or Youtube to search for instructional videos on using the app. I'd like to see Govee add something like that to their web site.

Lights are pretty good but installation is a big issue. We had to order a few more items to make the lights stick properly on the outdoor surface of our house. The adhesive provided with each led light bulb is not strong and doest work. For the amount of money paid, this should not have been an issue. Disappointed to be honest

I was excited to put these lights up. Paid a lot for the pro lights, because they were cuttable and were supposed to have extra. We got the 200ft cord and started putting them up and measured from light to light for one strand, and only ends up being 180', not 200' as advertised. They are counting the long power cord light as part of that length and now going to be short on the house. Really disappointed and not able to connect another strand due to 200' being the max. At least on the plus side, they do look great and lots of color options.

I just love my new Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights Pro. I bought two sets of them to cover nearly the entire perimeter of my house. I just love the flexibility they give me to light certain segments of them for different purposes. They look stunning, and are so well designed! And, I sincerely mean that! Great (no GREAT) product!

I don't write reviews often, but with an expensive product as this, and based on my experience I felt obliged to leave some thoughts. The lights themselves look awesome, even in a heavily populated suburban area with tons of ambient lighting. Love the color options, and the white tones are perfect. The major downside, which others have experienced, is the poor adhesion of the tape. My surfaces were cleaned and prepped well, and just about every single light on my 100ft strand failed. To remedy, I used hot glue, zip ties and more. This was even more problematic on my second floor, where access was hard enough - getting there a second time and with glue and more tools was tough. All of this ended up with costs above the expected. Would I buy again? Probably. Because it's still cheaper than hiring an electrician to put in outdoor recessed lighting. However, I would go straight to glue, clips and zip ties prior to even attempting adhesive.

I worked hard to put up these permanent lights and unfortunately they way my soffits are I can only use the sticky part to install them. I cleaned with alcohol first and let dry then I installed on an 80 degree day and I pressed each light hard for about 30 seconds so they would stick. Now I have about 5 that have come loose in different areas and I dread getting the ladder back out to try and make them stick again. The lights are beautiful and would be perfect if they had other options where you didn't have to rely on only the 3m tape to hold them up.

The 3M sticky tape on the back of the lights is helpful for installation, but is not sufficient by itself. These lights have to be installed with clips. Govee used to provide clips that mounted over the light and covered both wires. Now, Govee only provides a single-screw wire clip. When the 3M tape fails, the light sags against the single-screw wire clip and it requires another trip up the ladder. The quality of this product took a big dive when Govee decided to save money by not providing sufficient clips. Don't be fooled by the marketing that says the sticky tape is enough.

Well I love the effect , I DONT love the fact that MY FIRST set of PERMANENT LIGHTS the power module FAILED and NOW I have to REMOVE AND REINSTALL the PERMANENT LIGHTS and hope the Module DOSNT FAIL AGAIN. The module NEVER got WET supposed to be WATER RESISTANT ANYWAY, so I'll try the NEW ONES and see what happens!

I have these lights on a couple of my houses. The lights work great and the app is easy to use. The only downside is how to mount them. I've had two sets fail with the tape so far in less than a month. One set is on plastic soffit and the other is on smooth wood painted beams. Had to use the clips and screws. Problem with the is that on the beams, you can only get one side of the light screwed down due to the beam only being 1.5" wide. Wish the light pod itself had a reinforced screw hole to hold them flat against the surface.
