I had high hopes. Installing is not incredibly difficult but set aside ample hours and lots of ladder work. Plan carefully as the electric power connection must be at the beginning of the lighting run and can not be spliced so make sure to have power available at the end of the run. My lights connected relatively easy to the app it takes 2 attempts the app itself is fairly easy to navigate all this leads me to the most important part and that is the lights function. Changing colors is straight forward and in my case incredibly disappointing. The colors are no where close to accurate The lights were installed for Halloween and wanted to use the orange and purple combination and the purple color was so washed out and pale that it nearly made me want to not use them this can be said for all the colors not vivid and very pale saturation. Bummed

Wonderful lights, easy to install, and great app. My only complaint is that even after cleaning the surface, about 25% of my lights fell off after a week so I had so buy screw in brackets for each light. Now I have full confidence but had hoped for more permanent mounting for permanent lights.

I hoped the pro model would have brackets to affix the lights and the 3M tape. While the tape is excellent, I live in Colorado Springs, where the sun shines intensely 350 days a year, and the temperature swings from day to night can be 40° or more. My neighbor's Elite model came with nice brackets, while mine only came with wire clips. So, while I used those everywhere I could (note that there are not enough for every light on the string), I would prefer the nice brackets with the top-end model. Otherwise, these are awesome. The Govee app needs a better "Apple" version. It is a little convoluted, and the lexicon used is a little odd. More Apple-like polish and less of a tacky Android app would be nice. I like all the Govee products I have, including the heaters that were recently recalled. Unfortunately, they were reliable via HOOBS into HomeKit. Now I have to hack some Dreos into my ecosystem.

I installed these lights just after Thanksgiving and, so far, they've been working great! Once I figured out how to navigate through the app, I've been like a "kid in a candy store"! I love how you can customize the colors and scenes, and along with three sets of the Govee Outdoor Flood Lights 2 that I installed, it was a game-changer for our outdoor Christmas display this year. I'm looking forward to using these, all year long, for different events and occasions, and even for subtle everyday lighting of our home throughout the year!

These lights are awesome! I bought the Pro lights for the brightness. You can adjust the lights dimmer, but you can’t make the other versions brighter. I installed them on my mom’s house during the Christmas season and the whole family loves them. You really should use the “screw down” buckles/clips/brackets, or whatever they’re called. Anyone handy should know the double stick tape the lights come with are not a long term solution. After you put the lights up correctly, I would say you should be happy for a long time.

Its a game changer. Definitely an upgrade when it comes to lighting for the holidays and its year round? Gotta love it. No more climbing ladders. Once its set up, you never have to worry about taking them down. Gives off amazing colors. Very bright. And makes your home look 10x better.

I purchased the Permanent outdoor light pro and was very happy. The instructions were clear and concise, and it was easy to splice the wiring where needed. I was able to light up and upper gable with ease and have one continuous stand to complete the 200 feet of lighting around 3/4 of the house. I am on a corner lot so the 200 foot covered all the visible areas from the road. I need to read up on the app to use some of the other features but so far I was able to use the preset holiday lighting features for Christmas. The one item I have concerns about was the power supply states for indoor use only on the back of the unit. I found this kind of odd since this is an outdoor kit but I have the unit tucked under the soffits and out of any area where it could get wet. The adhesive works well but the soffits have an indented ridge so some of the lights traverse the indented area so there is little adhesive hitting each edge. I have to watch these areas and may have to attach some additional support in the future. Overall, a great product and have had a lot of compliments from the neighbors. I can't wait to use them for other holidays or special events.

Purchased the Pro version since I knew I’d need to splice the lights at 2 locations. Everything went well with the setup. Activated the App and everything works perfectly. What I don’t understand is why the power supply is only rated for indoor use or a dry location. I had to mount a waterproof electrical box on the wall to enclose the power pack and the switch.

Thank you for making a great quality product once again! The lights went up well and once I figured out the setup process they work perfectly! Probably more selections on scenes mode than I’ll ever use but they’re very easy to operate once you figure out the App features.

Love these! Themes for every occasion, including basic white lights! I can't wait for future holidays especially Christmas! I'm saving up more money so I can buy more different types of outdoor Govee lights so I can be “that house” that everyone in the city will travel to just to see my creation! Only ran into 1 minor problem. Some of the adhesive behind the lights came undone (maybe about 5) so I had to use the included clips and screws. I still have 1 section left to screw in, just waiting to borrow a scissor lift to reach a section of my house that's 25ft high.
