I purchased two for use as accent lighting/lamps in a living room. The lights are bright, and I enjoy having varied color temperatures. The flexibility to create custom patterns and colors is a fun, albeit niche feature. The sound activated modes are very fun, but I wish they were more dynamic/sensitive. They work best with heavy beats and very distinct patterns. The app is a little overwhelming up front. Light-linking and other more common utilities should be made more apparent.

After some research on lights for a media room I went with the Govee Lyra and it has been a lot of fun playing with all of the different modes (there's quite a bit). I picked this over a Phillips model and even though this was a lot cheaper the quality seems very good. I'm very pleased with my purchase!

As cool as these are, I ordered two. One broke within a few weeks I would not turn on or connect. The other broke within a few months and won't turn on or connect. To the Govee's credit, they sent me a warranty replacement that worked for a few weeks and now no longer does. Won't light up with the remote, and won't connect on my phone to the app. Same as the others. I give up. They are headed to the trash.

I like the speaker and some of the white noise selections the LEDs are nice and bright but they tend to wash out on the colors and are not quite as sharp in the delineation between the different colors when you're trying to set up multiple colors. If you only use primary colors there is almost no issues but if you're trying to get other than just a bright primary color it's very hard to accomplish. Generally winds up being washed out. Also the unit doesn't always completely turn off when it's supposed to for example if you have a red blue red the blue tends to be washed out towards a whitish blue. The previous cheaper models were simply easier to program and the delineation between colors better without whitish washout or bleed over. Also this unit doesn't have have as many selections for music to color as the previous models. I assume that you're supposed to program your own. I do like the color option of the bottom of the unit it does add to the display. I assume a number of these issues could be resolved with a firmware update since this is a new product so I will update the review at a later date.

The Lyra is nicely constructed, the colors are very configurable with the app, and it looks good. My living room has a dark corner and this lamp worked perfectly filling it in. With the gradient feature turned on, the colors flow together well giving a very comfortable and pleasant light.

Cool, but smaller than I thought.

They are exactly what we needed and they work perfectly.

The lights are absolutely worth every cent and the installation is 10 minutes tops!
