With how expensive these lights are you would think they could put in some decent hardware. I am sure the margins Govee makes is well over 100% on these lights but they cheap out in the hardware making installation a pain. Do yourself a favor and throw out the screws and anchors that come in the box and go buy some self tapping #6 1/2inch screws to make installation easier. Once installed the light work and look great but there is a pretty big learning curve on the app as well. I hope these last 10+ years because I am not looking forward to getting up on my ladder any time soon.

Just do it! These are awesome! I was on the fence about doing the install myself or hiring someone but I decided to give it a go myself to save money and I'mDgrave13 glad I did. They turned out better than I thought, only had to make one splice and 3 jumps for my elevation and I finished in about 5 hours. They look awesome!
