I used it for only a month and it caught all the stuff you see. I’m most impressed by how much dog hair there is in it. Didn’t realize how much dog hair is just floating in the air. I know my current unit had one, it looked old and raggedy, and my air wasn't keeping up like it used to. After extensive research, and much unnecessary anxiety, I ascertained that I needed a new filter. When I tell you this was literature the easiest process of my life, I'm serious. It slide right into the slot, and (fingers crossed) works like a charm. I can't speak to longevity, as I've only had it in for a few days, or if it was any better than my old one when it comes to filtering pet dander, etc. It works, and it was easy. End of story!
