The material is noticeably softer and less scratchy than the versions with Velcro-style sides, which is a big plus for comfort, especially for sensitive skin! However, the connected but rippable sides are a bit of a trade-off. While they hold well, they make changes much more inconvenient, especially in larger sizes. The size I received (6–7T) is typically used for bigger or special needs children, and having to remove pants and shoes for every change can be frustrating and time-consuming. Overall, great comfort, but not the most practical design for quick changes.

She is in the late stages of potty training at night and only has an "accident" once in awhile so these work perfectly for her and are more discreet than others. I would put them at a perfect five if they were softer in general, they are soft enough, but not as soft as we usually use. I would definitely travel with these for those just incase nights.

We love the fit of these pull-ups. They are roomy and don't cause any discomfort. We only use them for overnight, but they hold up very well with little to no smell when wet. These are perfect for potty training as well if needed for that because they pull up and down easily like regular underwear.
