It's easy to install first removes the plastic from the packing, second found the blower motor, replaced the filter into unit spot. Don't have any odor.

I am impressed with the easy installation of the filter, the size is true to measurements, especially when compared to other cheaper filters. We have inside dogs so we do deal with pet dander and I’m glad to have been able to test this product and will now be using this one from here on out. It has worked so much better than the ones we used previously. It is easy to install and a great value.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Filtrete filter really captured a lot in the 30 days we had it in our unit. It fit perfectly and was easy to install. It captured a great deal of various dust and looks completely coated. It's interesting because our thermostat gives updates based on how the AC is working, to say if the system is lagging due to AC filter needing to be changed out. The generic brands take forever to hit that threshold, I'm suspecting because they don't capture as much or have larger gaps for airflow. This filter was right around the month mark and I got the alert. I would definitely get this one again!

I know my current unit had one, it looked old and raggedy, and my air wasn't keeping up like it used to. After extensive research, and much unnecessary anxiety, I ascertained that I needed a new filter. When I tell you this was literature the easiest process of my life, I'm serious. It slide right into the slot, and (fingers crossed) works like a charm. I can't speak to longevity, as I've only had it in for a few days, or if it was any better than my old one when it comes to filtering pet dander, etc. It works, and it was easy. End of story!
