worth the money

Excellent machine. The one side is a bit dented and causes a lot of noise from the vibration (fixed by having something press up against it). Easy for me to move (Thin guy) on hardwood floors using the wheels. I have a single kitchen faucet and connect it to the cold water hookup and adjust the temperature of my tap to whatever temp the load needs. Lint filter doesn't seem to collect much. The faucet attachment that comes with it hooked directly onto my faucet without needing extra adapters. The faucet attachment works for faucet threading that is on the inside or outside of it. I've been using one Tide Pod per load and happy with the results.

This is an AMAZING washing machine ; easy set up , I can put a lot of clothes in it and washes them awesome . Barely uses any water and with my full size washer I couldn't run the dryer at the same time because it would flip the circuit , well that does not happen now . For 257 dollars for this washer you can't beat that price . There was a dent in the side after we took it out of the box ; so those devilery drivers gotta get their crap together I could have sent it back as damaged but I didn't . If you need a washer in a jiffy and can't afford a big one , get this . Its small and convenient . Plus if you can get it through Affirm pay like i did I can pay this off in no time , go for it !

I had an apartment size washer that I bought 8 years ago but it can't compare to this great little machine! It has many different settings, as well as a much bigger load size fir an apartment setting! I am buying my neighbor one too! We live in a senior community and we can't carry to laundry nor can you trust the home health aids to do the laundry without ruining our clothing! Best deal that I have found and I have researched thoroughly! Great job RCA and Walmart! Thank you so much!

Excellent washing machine: compact size but spacious stainless steel tub. Unbeatable price for this easy-to-use portable washer. The spin cycle gets clothes very dry, so hanging them up for a few hours is all that is needed. It comes complete with all that you need to hook up to kitchen faucet, for example. VERY WELL DESIGNED and nice to use. I suggest that you read the instruction booklet THOROUGHLY before you use the machine. I was very pleasantly surprised at this wonderful washer. This is one of the best portable washing machines I have ever used! It's made in the USA by RCA and it puts LG units to shame! It has enough capacity for 4 towels ( don't don't want to overload any washing machine). I've washed 5 pairs of pants, or a mixed combination of shirts and pants. If you need a good quality washer for an apt. or house w/out washer dryer hookups, this is much better than the Costco wash/spin machine. The only difference between this Hamilton Beach (AKA Black and Decker or RCA) portable washer is basically -- it's portable, and there are also steps you need to take to set up the hose to fill the washer each time. This is especially true if you don't have a high water pressure from your bathroom sink faucet. However, these matters can be overcome, and the quality wash is far superior to the Costway washer/spinner and coin laundries. Definitely set aside a good half hour to read the instructions and set up the washer. FITTING FOR HOSE - MADE MY OWN PVC CONNECTOR For me, I couldn't get my bathroom sink fitting off, so I bought PVC plumbing hose %26 PVC cutter, %26 cut it to size, and secured both ends with 2 hose clamps that you can tighten (or loosen) with a Phillips screwdriver. So, when I'm ready to wash, I tighten the bottom part (that is attached to the fitting for the washer hose), and I tighten the top end to the bathroom sink fitting (that is still in the bathroom faucet). I'm explaining this, because it only cost a few $'s plus PVC cutter to use this fitted PVC hose, and I really liked the Hamilton Beach personal washing machine. Note, if you create this PVC/hose clamp system, you are literally just adding a plumbing quality hose over both the hose and your bathroom sink fitting, so you are not changing the washer hose, itself. FILLING WITH WATER One main tip I will give you in understanding the machine is, water must go from faucet through the hose into the washer. The washer senses the water coming in (which is about 5 min. for a medium load), senses the load, and then the washer senses whether the water covers the load (for the size load you selected). I have decent (but not great) water pressure coming from my bathroom sink, but sometimes the washer stops filling with water and starts it's cycle, and then later, senses there is not enough water. In this case, pause, then shut off, and run the cycle one more time, and the washer will accept enough water from your faucet to fill where it needs to be. Then, just let it finish that cycle. I would recommend starting with a small load, to get an idea if your bathroom sink is filling enough water in the time the washer allows; then you can try a medium, or full load. Also, put your clothes in with detergent before you start the load. If you open the lid, you have to start all over. This washer always gets clothes clean, and I am picky, as I exercise and work outside a lot, and I expect clean clothes. So, you don't have to worry about that. Also, the spin cycle is very robust and I don't have to worry that there is water left in the machine. My clothes come out slightly damp every time. I also bought a Panda portable dryer that also does an excellent job, %26 I would recommend both.

I have had several of these units and I wish they would improve the leaks of the hose connections. You literally have to babysit your water or you will come back to a swimming pool of water. However, it does the job of washing your clothes. It’s a great buy if you’re on a budget, don’t have the space or afford a regular washer.

Bought it, waited 5 days for delivery and I’ve been washing the last two weeks of laundry all day. Make sure you have powder detergent on hand. I tried it with liquid and the powder definitely gets the clothes cleaner in this washer. I think it’s because the water loads fairly quickly and runs through the soap tray. Paid $498 total for this and a mini dryer.

I received this item on the 26th and just hooked it up. it's coming on, but it is not spinning whwn i try to wash a load, is it supposed to? I read the manual and it says to perform a rinse spin cycle and that worked, and it was spinning, but it will not spin while trying to do a load, and the water isn't staying in the washer, it isn't leaking, its just not staying in the tub, what am I not doing correctly please?
