It comes in fun colors with kid friendly accessories such as stickers, a lanyard and wristlet. This camera is rechargeable and long lasting, so no need for replacing batteries. The built in selfie light helps kids take perfectly lit photos easily. This camera has “AI” features that basically compile a series of photos into a slideshow with music or voice notes. The myFirst camera is an Android device that connects to WiFi and can connect to a limited social circle so kids can “post” their photos for family to see. This is a safe alternative to posting on social media for the whole world to see. The first step to working the camera is to download a phone app. The app connects to the camera in order for photos to be uploaded and can then be transferred to print or store in other ways. My daughter likes this camera for taking simple photos but it is difficult for her to use all of the extra features that it has. She also gets frustrated because the camera will randomly crash at times. The memory is quite limited as well, and she has to delete photos constantly to be able to take additional ones. I recommend purchasing this camera to give children a bit of safe independence. This camera is so slim it was easy for me to pack on vacation so my daughter could take her own photos and feel special “posting” them for our family back home see. Overall, the myFirst camera for kids seemed promising but proved to be buggy and basic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a lightweight little camera that handles falls well! It takes ok photos, not super great quality, but probably fine for kids. My 8 year old and 11 year old had fun with the first couple of pictures and placing the built-in stickers on them. However, there are a limited number of stickers available (30 total) and it could get boring depending on the age. Also not sure why one of the few stickers is a coffee cup sticker for something geared towards kids. The sound the camera makes when taking a photo is super loud. Like annoyingly loud. This is touted as a “privacy” feature. I feel it could be a bit quieter and still work as a “privacy” feature (not taking pictures without consent). It’s easy to hold and take photos. My kids figured out the camera pretty quickly. I’ll be interested to see if they will take it to camp this summer. If the time of this review, I don’t know. I haven’t connected it to the app. It seems like others would have to have the same app in order to share photos. How would we know if friends have the same camera or not? It’s challenging to build an app ecosystem and I’m already burned out by the number of apps I have.

So much extras, like cameras on both sides, selfie mode and music playlist. The app is easy to use and to store favorite photos/videos. My son really enjoys this camera.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, this camera has a lot going on. It has a built-in selfie light. This is super important because it doesn't take great photos in the dark. There is no other flash option. It connects to the wifi and can do updates which is nice. The system itself reminds me of a tablet how you connect to the app, upload photos to a family portal and adjust the settings. It is loud when it takes photos. I turned it down but sometimes I notice it still clicks loud. Setting up was easy. It took less than ten minutes to connect to wifi then start taking photos. I do like the video quality. Again, you need good lighting. I haven't tried an SD card but I've sent video and photos through the app. I wish there was an option to automatically upload the photos to the app as my child takes them. You have to individually upload each item. It includes stickers to decorate with. I highly recommend hiding them if your child is a "put stickers on every single surface" kid like mine. She put a sticker over the main lens and now we have a sticky residue on it, causing a blur. I would have rather not had stickers in the box, haha. Overall, it's a super cool kids camera. Honestly, produces the best photos from a "kids" device I've seen so far. The built in "case" feels like the unit will be protected from my toddlers.

The video and photo quality are decent for a kids' gadget, nothing crazy but good enough for fun memories. I like that it's lightweight and durable, so you don't have to worry too much if it gets dropped. The design is fun and kid-friendly too. Battery life is okay, not amazing but lasts long enough for a play session. Overall, it's a nice toy-camera if you want something simple and fun for a kid, not a professional device obviously, but it does the job🙌

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kid friendly, mom approved!! For the record, I’m so old I had to check that the title of my review meant want I wanted it to. With that said, this camera is super cool ( at least /even to me. It’s not the greatest quality that an adult would want or expect, but it sufficient for young kids. It definitely has better quality with natural lighting and a steady hand. It also has built in kid fun features, like the selfie light, that make it even more fun. My boys 2 1/2, 5 1/2, 7, and 8 1/2 all are easy to operate this device and enjoy using it. Set up was initially slightly difficult for me, but I definitely think it was partially due to user error. It has a parent app and individual MyFirst device connectivity controls. As a parent I really like that this is “screen free” while not being screen free. It almost doesn’t make sense, if you know you know. I see more products and devices from this brand in our future for both my family and as gifts.

I has a variety of brightness that you can choose from. I like that you can filter and stickers to the pictures. The case that it comes with is a huge plus, especially since kids tend to drop stuff all the time. Instructions are easy and straight forward for kids to use. I love seeing all the things my daughter captures.

I love the templates it offers helping them learn and create (while also being age appropriate). The app is easy to use and helps allow me to monitor what they are capturing.

Comes with stickers to customize the outside how you like and comes in purple or blue. It comes with a wrist strap, lanyard and charger cord. Has templates to create videos and photos. A private diary where you can store photos and even share with family and friends. If you click and hold down on photos you can even add voice notes and edit to add doodles, filters and more. Definitely a cute first camera for kids.
