This container is great for storing bulk items and it is solid, and the lid fits nice. But if you need to scoop out contents - like dog food or cat food - this isn’t for you unless you have tiny doll size hands. I cannot get a one cup scoop in and out of the opening without losing the contents of the scoop - so that feature isn’t a bonus, it’s a frustration.

Dog food container

Great container for pellets or even dog food. I use mine for storing pellets for my grill. The container is made well has water tight seals around the top of the lid. The rest of the container is heavy duty.

They changed the lid. The new design not only doesn't seal as well, but the pour spout was removed because they "changed the opening into one." This leaves little room to reach your hand in with a scoop.

I have 5 of the original design and love them, I use them for dry goods and needed an extra. It arrived yesterday and the lid does not stay on, it is not secure and no longer airtight. It going back

If you want to store food and you plan to reach into the container with any kind of cup for measuring g the food to feed pets this is NOT the container for you. The old opening is so small the cup will hit the opening and spill it around the outside of the lid on the top leaving you to pick up pet food or just angle it too fall into a pet food dish. Waste of money because of the food is left there it prevents it from closing
