We cooked these in a conventional oven because microwave was not recommended. They were horrible because all of the gravy in the pie cooked out and all we had was a dried up pile of crust with no flavor. I've only bought banquet pot pies in the past and they are really good, but I don't think these would even please the dog. If I could give them no stars, I would.

My family use to love these but i just bought this for dinner tonight and well wont do so again. Back in the day they were packed full of filling (veggies, chicken, gravy). But now you end up with more pie crust than anything else. Granted ot is a tasty pie crust but my daughter was able to pick up the crust and eat it without utensils after eating the top and "filling". I am so tired of everything showing me I cant use convince without losing quality!

I was preparing four of these pies, so I baked them in the conventional oven. I wrapped the edges of the crusts loosely in aluminum foil, baked them on a parchment-lined sheet, and removed the foil the last ten minutes of baking. We used to live in Los Angeles and would enjoy the Marie Callendars chicken pot pies at their restaurant, which was like an upscale coffee shop near LAX. When the freezer version came out, they were not too shabby, but over the decades they just got worse and worse to the point where I hadn't purchased them for years. Recently, facing a potential devastating snow and ice storm this February 2026, I bought this box at Sam's for an easy meal. We were surprised at how good they were. The balance of sauce and crust, both very flavorful BTW, was excellent. The carrots have a bit of texture yet are fully cooked. The chicken tastes like it was pre-marinated, and holds its own flavor nicely. There is also a good balance between saltiness and actual flavor. Overall, very good and we will buy again.

Less %26 less vegetables %26 meat seem to be the problem. Just finished one %26 saw only 2 peas, maybe a piece of celery %26 3 pieces of chicken. Kind of flavorless. My husband felt the same of his. Won’t be buying anymore. Sad, we usually buy these every other trip to Sam’s!

I cooked 2 of them and they were watery and the bottom crust did not get done on nighter one, thinking about returning them.

Very disappointing. Quality has decreased from past years. Chicken is artificial, very little gravy and almost no vegetables.
