Multiple Rooms

I'm replacing a Pioneer Elite 7.1 receiver that allows me to use 5.1 in the home theater, then use two of the surround sound speaker ports to power two speakers in "Zone 2", which I have placed outside. Is this possible with this receiver?

Yes, the Denon AVR-S760H is a zone two-capable receiver. Connect your two outdoor speakers to surround back channels using the assignable surround back speaker terminals. Please see the attached link for assistance with assigning the receiver for zone two. Poor quality hardware

Amplifier circuit failed within 1 year. Denon will not honor warranty. I'm currently looking for a service manual and repair parts. Denon please reach out with this information.

Good sound, poor quality.

The unit has good sound and function. However, I have had to do numerous factory resets, and am currently sending it in for it's second repair under warranty. Quality, at least on my unit, is very subpar. I think I got a lemon. Can't recommend.

Limited Functionality

Disappointed at limited functionality. I would love to turn on the subwoofer in 2 channel stereo and cannot do so. something so basic. I wish i would have kept the box. This would have been a return.

Hello Chase, I have some helpful information to share with you. The subwoofer can be used in 2-channel mode. To enable this, go to the settings and set the Bass option to "LFE + Main." This will activate the connected subwoofer in 2-channel listening mode. I have attached a link that will guide you through the settings. The sound isn't what I thought it would be. . you have to turn the sound up to 50, just to get the separation. . .

Hello, I'm sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with the receiver. Our receivers are designed to provide accurate distortion levels. Once the volume exceeds -1 or 100 (depending on how your volume is set), the distortion levels will increase. Typically, it is standard to operate the receiver at around 75% volume. I would like to provide some setup tips that will enhance your experience. In settings, go to Audio>Audyssey>Turn Dynamic EQ on and Dynamic Volume to Medium. This will help adjust volume levels. Also, if running Large speakers as front left and right, set the Bass setting to LFE + Main.
