Not sure where these great reviews come from. It never fails when i get sweet potatoes at Sam's Club they do not cook evenly. The best i get I'd about 2/3's of the potato cooked properly, the rest is either woody, like the tips, or hard as a rock. While these are on the small side they are well formed but always cook unevenly. I have cooked them side by side with ones from Publix. The Publix sweet potato cooked quicker and evenly. The smaller Sam's Club potatoes took 1/3rd longer to cook and were again only 2/3's cooked.

I have not been finding any good sweet potatoes at the grocery store or at Sam's. The last 5 pound bag I purchased earlier this month was half rotten when I opened it and one of the potatoes was cut in half, exposing the cut sides to the rotten ones. I won't be buying in bulk anymore.
