The carpet cleaned and as advertised the carpet dried quick. My low rating is not because of functionality, but that of construction. After the first couple of uses the plastic cover will not stay on which prevents water suction. The lever to release the plastic cover became separated because the springs came out. Also when using the hose (when all parts functioned) the water did not come up easily on the stairs.

I needed to replace my old Hoover steam cleaner after 20 years and after reviewing many different cleaners, I am so glad I found this one. It cleans well as I expect from Hoover, but it's smartly designed to make cleaning the machine after use really easy too! The easy access to the brush rollers is genius. The infomercial says it all and I love my new machine. It's also self-propelled so it's not so heavy to push/pull. And the smaller footprint fits nicely next to my vacuum cleaner. My old machine was stored in the garage.

I bought this a month ago and I'm very pleased on how well it cleans. I have dogs that like to sleep in my room and my carpet is a very light color but due to the dogs my carpet definitely showed it was dirty. I used my Hoover smart carpet cleaner and my carpet looks brand new. The water suction works amazing the carpet was practically dried. I favorite thing about this cleaner besides how well it gets the job done is that it comes apart so easily to clean. I'm truly satisfied with this purchase

I bought this a 3 weeks ago and I'm sooooo happy ny neighbor recommended it. With my emotional support dog and my daughters cat, this was just the machine to get my rugs and carpets perfectly clean without soaking the floor and making a mess. I have told my whole mom group about it and I'm sure some of them are going to order. Great job Hoover, remarkable product.

After purchasing this machine last aug I used 2 times to clean up after pets. When I went to use it the 3rd time the clean water tank had fallen apart at the bottom. Therefore I was not able to use the machine. I contacted the company a few times with not much success. Finally someone by the name of Haley helped me. I was only asking for a replacement tank since the machine was fine. In fact when all is intact this machine is the absolute best I've ever used! Haley sent me a brand new machine. I've used it 2 times so far and it's been great. I hope the next use isnt the same bad luck I had with the first one. Thanks Haley

I purchased this carpet cleaner back in June of 2020. Today while cleaning up a spill, the machine started making a load squealing noise and the brushes where no longer turning. I assume there is a belt that must be slipping. I got some pretty good use out of it, but I didn't expect it to break this soon.

I love the cleaner but cannot figure out how to attach the hose. Even the photo of the hose on the website doesn't show how it attaches to the machine. Help! An online manual? The product itself is great but after you own it, there's a bit of work trying to get info. I really want to use this feature but no idea how.

I purchased this last month and used it on my living room and hall carpets and it did a great job. The drying feature is great as it doesn't take the carpet long to dry. I also used it on a wool area rug in my family room and it clean it great and it didn't shrink it at all, the drying feature is great as the rug was just damp when we were done cleaning it.

100,000x better than Bissel. I had a bissel wet vac and it was hard to clean and it didnt quite get all the dirt and stains. It would clog due to pet hair (even after I used a regular vac first). This Hoover gets all the dirt and stains and its easy to use and clean!! I highly recommend!!!!
