Excellent Donkey Kong installment ! love exploring the world's and smashing everything in sight, its very satisfying! Gameplay is nice and smooth on the Switch 2. game is pretty expensive, but I would buy it all over again. I see a lot of replayability from this title.

Absolutely amazing game. Top tier. Should have been the launch title to be honest but I understand why they gave it a standalone release. It’s like a mix of Mario, Zelda, and Donkey Kong all rolled into one. Absolutely epic experience so far and I’m only about halfway thru the game. If you’re even still reading this review and haven’t already ditched it to but this game, you’ve messed up. Go get it already! And prepare for an epic adventure filled with smashing virtually everything in your path!

Ok, so I'm an avid Mario and DK fan. I buy every game regardless. This is NOT your left to right scrolling screen average DK game. I have to admit that's what i expected. Diddy Kong is not with you. This is more like Mario Odyssey, a huge 3d world you can interact with everything in. You have to do a lot of smashing of walls and environment. As someone who likes to find everything and complete a game 100% it will drive you nuts. There is a lot hiding in the worlds. Instructions are lacking, it took me awhile to understand what i was supposed to find and do. There is not a lot of combat, its a lot of searching. It's a good game, just not what i was expecting from Donkey Kong!

I actually liked this game but I slowly stopped playing it after a couple days. The game is great, well made, looks good, sensible story. However it’s just not the kind of game for me. I simply prefer open world and combat oriented games, so if that sounds like you this might not be it.

i really like the different characters, the destruction physics are fun to mess around with, the boss fights are pretty great, and you can really tell that the people who made the game were the same people who made Mario Odyssey and that they actually looked through all the Donkey Kong games to know what they should do for the characters also, i am shocked that this game is only 8 GB when you get it digitally, it does not feel like it's that small

mean looks good but all you do is smash like this game is geared more to little kids than teens abd adults even for a kid it seems dumb all you do is smash smash smash mario had more challenges this game is bare minimum and just lacks anything hard to do when playing i thought i was losing brain cells maybe if you were high as a kite then game maybe playable

Donkey Kong Bananza is definitely the big system seller for the Switch 2, in the same way that Mario Odyssey was for the Switch. It's just pure destructive fun that'll keep you smiling from beginning to end. Definitely a must-have game if you own a Switch 2.

The level design is clever, challenging, and packed with secrets. Each world has its own unique vibe, and the platforming feels tight and responsive. I also love how they incorporated both single-player and co-op modes—it’s an absolute blast playing with friends or family. If you’re a fan of Donkey Kong, platformers, or just great Nintendo games in general, Donkey Kong Bananza is a must-own title. One of the best releases on the Switch 2 so far!

I haven't touched a platformer in ages. Between the rave reviews, the redesign of DK, and the respectful move to set Mario aside for once and put DK Bananza out as the premier platformer for Switch 2, I figured this was deserving of a try. And what a delightful surprise it is! Vibrant visuals, inspired music, impressive design and mechanics, slick gameplay and UI, and and an innocent charm that is right on brand for the best of Nintendo. I thought myself to have moved on from these types of games, but here I am rolling around trying to explore and punch my way to the next banana. Incredible game and absolutely worth every penny, already. Nintendo has hit a home run with this one.
