Great Upgrade for Kids — Fast, Fun, and Well Built
We recently purchased the Jetson RIO Kids 36-Volt Electric Dirt Bike, and it has been an excellent investment. The bike has great speed for a kids model — fast enough to be exciting but still controllable. My son absolutely loves it and was excited from the first ride. The build quality feels solid and durable, and the battery performance has been very good for neighborhood riding and outdoor use. It's easy to operate, charges without issues, and provides a smooth ride. This bike is a big step up from smaller kids e-bikes and feels much more like a real dirt bike experience. I would definitely recommend it to parents looking for a fun, reliable electric bike for kids who are ready for something more powerful. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

Ummm Fair?! I guess?!
Purchased two of these at the same time for my 6 yr old twins. One came with the chain off right out of the box. Unrideable. Discovered during assembly when the chain was hanging off. Had to take off all the plastic pieces and figure out how to remount the chain. There is a bunch of slack in the chain and one small tensioner spring arm and wheel to keep the chain on. I can see it's likely going to cause trouble ongoing. Got it fixed and both operational but here's the big issue… The speed adjustment switch has no cover, is not discreet , and it's placed right where feet go!! Terrible. Boys were trying to learn to ride on speed 1 and kept accidentally kicking it into speed 2 and 3 with their feet! Not good. Speeds 2%263 are too much when you're trying to learn. There is no way for parent to “lock out” the speed setting. It's just a regular switch labeled 1, 2, and 3. Within minutes the kiddos figured out what the switch does and they were adjusting the power level wayy before they had the skills needed to handle it. They need to hide the switch or make it capable of being locked. Literally the worst possible placement. Also the throttle doesn't seem to be proportional. Meaning you can't gradually feather it and take off slowly then add more throttle. It's either on or off. 0 or 100%. With a torquey electric motor this is a problem. Definitely a learning curve. Little bit scary at first for small ones not used to riding. You can't really learn throttle control on this. You're either giving it full throttle or zero and coasting. Which makes turning a little tricky. If they are mid-turn and hit the throttle it can be dangerous. Lastly! This is a street or pavement bike. One look at the smooth tires tells you don't plan on riding this on grass or dirt. Kids will wipe out immediately. No tread on tires. We realized this when buying it and planned on them riding in the driveway. But it's a very misleading name because this would not work at all in any kind of offroad scenarios. One turn and they'll be laying on their side. All the above being said - it would be fun for a little older kids like 8-10 maybe. They could deal with the quirks and handle it. But the problem is it's too small for 8-10 kids. They look like a cirus bear riding it. So it's kinda hard to operate for kids it's actually sized for, but too small for older kids that could enjoy it more.

Defective unit. Stopped working after light use.
It was a great toy for 2 30 min. play sessions. After that it started to make a noise like a table saw when the throttle was engaged. The wheel would spin intermittently with no rider, but with a regular rider (75 pounds) it would still make the nose and not really move. I tried to use customer service and was directed to AI. I went through their troubleshooting which ended in statements that said it was broken and needed professional service. I tried to contact live customer service and received a message that they were closed, despite being firmly in their availability window. So, really my only option is returning it to Sam's Club via a shipping label that can be used at my local FedEx location (I live over an hour from the nearest Sam's club.) I think we just got a unit with some defect. I have already ordered another (while the sale is still on) to replace this one.

Quit working after month and half.
Bought this December 17th, 2025 for Christmas and it quit working February 2026. Charger light turns green but bike will not turn on anymore. I have to return it for a refund because Sam's doesn't sell it anymore. My 9yr old grandson is very disappointed and so I am.

Bought this bike as a christmas gift for our 10 year old. The handle bars attach to the frame with 2 bottom clips and 2 top clips. Our product came with 3 bottom clips and 1 top so we cannot attach it. After 3 days of back and forth with Jetson saying we must be confused, they just said spare parts are out of stock so they will issue us a store credit for other jetson products. What non sense. I love Sams Club, but they should really stop selling their products bc their customer service is horrendous.

Jetson is a horrible company and builds shoddy stuff that they don't give you the option to fix yourself. do yourself a favor and purchase razor. At least you can swap out a battery if it dies. This is even with proper maintenance. look up jetson reviews. you'll get one season out of this product. if you buy for Christmas you won't even get it to summer before it dies and you'll be out of a warranty by that time. This is their business model.
