HP OMEN 16L Gaming Desktop – Honest User Review I've been using the HP OMEN 16L as my main desktop, and overall it's been a solid machine. What I like: Performance is the standout. It runs modern games smoothly without me having to tweak a ton of settings, and it handles multitasking like a champ. I can game, stream, browse, and have multiple apps open at once without slowdown. The cooling is better than I expected for a compact tower — it stays quiet and doesn't feel like it's about to take off when I push it. The build looks clean and professional too, not over-the-top “gamer” looking, which I actually prefer. Areas for improvement: The case is compact, which is great for desk space, but that also means upgrades are a little tighter than a full-size tower. More internal room or easier access would make future upgrades simpler. I'd also like to see a bit more transparency from HP about component brands (RAM, PSU, GPU variations), since that matters when you're thinking long-term. Setup experience: Setup was straightforward. Out of the box it booted up fast, Windows was pre-configured, and I was gaming within the first hour. No weird bloatware issues or driver headaches. I just plugged it in, updated Windows, and started installing my usual apps and games. How I use it daily: This is my main system for both work and play. I use it for gaming, streaming content, and general productivity. It handles everything I throw at it without making me feel like I need to upgrade already. For a prebuilt, it feels reliable and well-balanced — good performance, manageable size, and no drama. Overall: If you want a powerful, compact prebuilt that just works, the OMEN 16L delivers. It's not perfect, but it's a strong, dependable desktop for gaming and everyday use.

I bought this PC because my other desktop would not power up the mother board died; it was an also a HP Envy. Could not get a replacement mother board because they no longer made them for that PC. So, I ended up buying the Omen 16L no issues.

This PC was a great value and works very well. I'm super happy with my purchase. I love being able to control the LED lighting! Being able to custom build this PC was very important. I also love the compact design of the tower - it's about 70% of the size of my old PC but yet it's about 4X as powerful. Great PC. Small feedback - add some USB 3.1 ports, and make some higher power ports available in the back of the Tower so that you can hide cords by plugging stuff into the back, versus running cords to the front of the machine.

Was easy to get it up and going, and easy to get printer installed and going.

This has been one of the best Desktop computers that I have had in a long time . I like that it starts up real quick and it's easy to use . I mainly use this for personal and church financial business. I also play Online games , Especially World of Warcraft . The only flaw Is that periodically it disconnects me from the Internet And I have Not been able to figure out why It is doing that particular thing .05

I am having trouble with this product only 5 months after purchase but doesn't mean the product is no good maybe it is just my PC that's defaulting . I had to send it twice to repair and It's been about 3 weeks that I can't enjoy it , It is still in repair . To have my proper and final review . I have to wait and see the hole performance after I receive it and I hope I get a replacement because I will be disappointed if my computer won't be 100% performant . I have 3 Hp Laptops for my kids and wife and my experience in global is great and satisfactory with HP .

Had it for a couple weeks and decided to set it up. After moving my old Envy to my wife's office....no problems. I plugged in my new OMEN awaiting to see the graphics. Using the same cables that were plugged into my Envy....nothing! Blank screen. So I plugged it into the other older monitor had. Nothing still. Bunces back and forth from HDMI to VGA. The monitors both work fine as externals to my Govt laptop (DELL) so its not the monitors. Especially since my new monitor is a curved Samsun that has worked great until some jerk off programmer changed something on how it interacts with accessories. I work in the IT field. When there are problems with new systems its always because some programmer is trying to justify full time employment by changing something the general population never asked for. Some "good idea fairies" all agreed to because they liked the change. So typical. HP and Microsoft makes it so hard to be loyal to one brand.

I've owned an HP OMEN 16L Gaming Desktop (TG03-0064), and honestly it's been one of the most disappointing PCs I've purchased. For the price, the build quality feels cheap and the cut corners are obvious. The fan noise is constant and much louder than I expected, even during light workloads. On top of that, HP's software ecosystem is incredibly annoying. It feels like there's a never-ending stream of HP Priority, OMEN Gaming Hub, and other HP app updates constantly popping up. Instead of feeling like a premium gaming desktop. For what this system costs, I expected a quieter, better-built machine with less bloatware and a more polished user experience.

GeForce RTX 5060 Ti crashes or reboots PC under Windows 11 version 25H2. Neither HP, NVIDIA, nor Microsoft appear to own this nor address it in a real way. Without a real fix this PC is useless to me!
