We have bought several of these because you can't beet the feel for the price HOWEVER, these things dry rot quickly and start to tear when dying off. They just down't last. I guess at this price though no biggie to just throw it away and get another one. It has happened to every one we bough and we probably have bought 5 or 6 over time.

I initially bought 6 towels in white about 2 years ago. At that time they were called Hotel Reserve or something like that. They have absolutely held up beautifully. I normally use bleach and hot water when I wash them. Lots and lots of use and still feel thick and absorbent. We recently renovated one of our bathrooms and I bought 4 of the platinum and dark grey towels, hand towels and wash cloths. Gorgeous colors and have washed up as good as the white, without using bleach, of course. I always wash new linens before using for the first time and from the first time using them, I've never had any lint left behind on my body when drying off. If you like a thick, thirsty and oversized towel at an affordable price, you can't go wrong with these. Please don't stop carrying these towels.

This is my first time buying these towels. I bought 2 sets and washed and dried them twice. It’s not normal lint it’s large pieces coming off the towels. I had to take my hand around the inside of the washer to get all the 1 inch to 3 inch pieces of towel off of the washer drum. I will definitely be returning these towels. The hand towels were fine. It was just the larger bath towels and both were in different colors.

My first towel and washcloth purchase. The towels look beautiful in the store and seem to be of high quality. I washed them before first use. The amount of lint is shocking, I was really worried that this would clog up my dryer. I washed the towels 2 more times and there is still a lot of lint. Also I noticed loose strands throughout the towels. I believe this is either a bad batch or the towels are made of cheap cotton. I have doubt that the towels and washcloth will hold up and will last as long as my old towels. There is also a weird smelI to the towels even after washing. I am tempted to pull back my old towels. Needless to say I am very disappointed.

I 100% recommend the white towels. They are a great quality especially considering the price. However, the blue color ones I purchased I can’t use. I am donating them to the local animal rescue. The blue color has an absolutely disgusting odor that won’t come out. The smell is so bad it makes any clothing or towels near them smell too. I have washed them numerous times in HOT water with laundry baking soda, white vinegar, borax, several different types of laundry detergent and NOTHING works. I have soaked them to try to strip them and it just doesn’t work. I ordered these as a pickup item. Had I been in store to check them out myself I would have never purchased the blue color ones. Just make sure to give them a sniff test.

Great towels!

After seeing so many positive reviews on these towels, I had such high hopes and was so looking forward to receiving them. Talk about a let down. Each bath towel and hand towel had numerous snags and frays, both front and back. They were meant to be used in my guest bathroom, but they look so raggedy now, I don’t even want them, let alone use them in the guest bathroom. They look worse than the old towels they were meant to replace! As soon as I received my towels, I put them in the washer. Mind you, I checked all washing directions, and it doesn’t seem my method was too harsh to have caused the damage. I used cool water on my eco-cycle, Woolite mild detergent for colors, and dried them on low heat on the eco-cycle as well. It was four bath towels and two hand towels washed all by their lonesome, so certainly nothing to snag and fray them all up. I will say though, they did fluff up and they are a nice, thick towel, just so disappointing the quality of the threads. So, 1 Star for fluff and thickness, but I certainly wouldn’t recommend these to anyone. I’ve tried attaching a photo several times, but it refuses to upload to the site. Hm.

I buy these in various colors- each family member has their own color for easier laundry and taking care of. These remain soft for YEARS and hold their quality! Only thing I wish Sam’s would do is make new colors— deep Olive green, rust… more of a variety! We’d buy them!!

Nice thick soft towels. Would like a few more but cant get them.
