We haven't gotten a chance to really hardwire it outside but we did test it out and it almost blinded us all. My neighbor actually has one on their pole building and it's super efficient and lights up a lot of their property.

We decided to put this on our outdoor shed for some extra light at night. The light is really bright and shines about 30 ft out. I plan to buy another one to add on the other side of the house. So far it's held up in a tropical storm with no issues too.

So far I've used it mostly for as a supply light for night construction because this thing is BRIGHT. Installation was easy, though you will likely need basic power tools. The light sensing feature is optional and can be disabled simply by disconnecting the sensor. Overall I would easily give this 5 stars and recommend to anybody looking for a bright outdoor flood style light.

My husband is installing it and he’s impressed as a maintenance man with electrical experience. It’s going to be insanely bright. 8000 Lumens PER LED?! LOL You know those annoyingly bright HID LED headlights that everyone thinks are someone’s brights on but actually isn’t? I love those. I have that. Anyway, it’s like that. 4000-8000 lumens are typically used for kitchen and bathroom areas. Comes with a gasket and screws. And wire caps. Whatever those things are called. The temp is 5000K so that means it’s in the middle of the color spectrum. The lower, the more orange/yellow and the higher 5-10,000k the more blue. So middle of the spectrum js white. Google Image it, it’s pretty cool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First Impressions Straight out of the box, the light feels like a commercial-grade product. It has a durable, heavy-duty aluminum housing with a clean, professional finish. The weatherproof design was an immediate plus, as I live in an area where the weather can be unpredictable, from heavy rains to extreme heat. At first glance, I was impressed by the solid build and attention to detail. The installation instructions were clear, and all the necessary mounting hardware was included. Installation Process Installing the light was straightforward, even for someone like me who isn’t particularly handy. I mounted it above my garage door, and it only took about 30 minutes from start to finish. The included wiring diagram made the electrical connections easy to understand. Once mounted, the light felt secure and well-anchored to the wall. Performance and Brightness The first time I turned it on, I was blown away by how bright it was. The 8000 lumens provide incredible illumination, covering a wide area with crisp, white light. It’s like having daylight at night! This light easily covers my driveway, side yard, and even part of my backyard without any dark spots. The 5000K color temperature is perfect—it’s not too harsh like some overly blue-toned LEDs, but it’s bright enough to feel energizing and secure. Whether I’m walking to my car or taking out the trash late at night, I feel much safer knowing everything is clearly visible. Energy Efficiency One of the best features of this light is how energy-efficient it is. Even with its high output, the LED technology keeps power consumption low. I’ve noticed no significant change in my electric bill, which is a huge relief considering how much I use it. Durability This light is built to last. It’s weatherproof, so I don’t have to worry about it failing during a storm or extreme weather conditions. The sealed design keeps out dust and bugs, which was an issue with my old outdoor light. After weeks of rain and even a freeze, it’s still working flawlessly. Added Security One unexpected benefit has been the added sense of security. The bright, wide-angle illumination deters animals and makes it clear that my property is well-lit, which I’m sure is also a deterrent for any would-be intruders. Any Downsides? If I had to mention a downside, it’s that this light doesn’t come with a built-in motion sensor or dusk-to-dawn feature. I ended up installing it with a smart timer switch, which solved the issue, but it would have been nice if these features were included. However, the consistent performance more than makes up for this. Final Thoughts The Westinghouse 8000 Lumen Wall Pack LED Outdoor Area Light is an outstanding choice for anyone looking to light up a large outdoor area. It’s powerful, efficient, and built to withstand the elements. Whether you need it for a driveway, parking lot, or backyard, this light will exceed your expectations. I’d highly recommend this light to anyone who values quality and reliability in an outdoor lighting solution. It’s a little pricier than some alternatives, but the performance and durability make it worth every penny.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy enough installation. It is fairly bright although the area we were illuminating was small. Not entirely sure how this will do in a larger , say more than 50-60 feet area. The plastic casing looks good for now but not sure if it will survive the elements well or for how long.
