Definitely recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall nice build quality, fast charging and amazing battery life, with really snappy responsiveness. My previous laptop was on its last legs and I needed a replacement that felt like a big upgrade without breaking the bank, this definitely achieves that!

First Company Laptop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We started a small business and needed a laptop. After doing research, I felt that the IdeaPad Slim 3x would be the best fit for our needs. So far, it was EASY to set up, easy to use and very comfortable with all of its features.

IdeaPad Slim 3x (15″ Snapdragon)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What I really love about this laptop is the value and the touchscreen. I use it for personal record keeping, web browsing and email. I'm a fan of SSD's for their non-moving parts and longevity. Also, the battery seems very long lasting, so far. Here are the specs: Processor Snapdragon® X X1-26-100 Processor (2.97 GHz ) Operating System Windows 11 Home 64 ARM Graphic Card Integrated Qualcomm® Adreno™ GPU Memory 16 GB LPDDR5X-8448MT/s (Soldered) Storage 512 GB SSD M.2 2242 PCIe Gen4 QLC Display 15.3" WUXGA (1920 x 1200), IPS, Anti-Glare, Touch, 45%NTSC, 300 nits, 60Hz Camera 720P HD with Dual Microphone and Privacy Shutter Fingerprint Reader Fingerprint Reader Keyboard Backlit, Luna Grey - English (US) WIFI Wi-Fi 7 2x2 BE 320MHz & Bluetooth® 5.4 Warranty 1 Year Courier or Carry-in Color Luna Grey Operating System Language EN:English

Good purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For 95% of what I do (web utilization/access and documents - word, pdf, excel) it so far is better than most (4stars). Is it faster than most (no - it’s about the same). I like the various ports (hdmi, usb) and SSD. For the $$ it’s a solid 4 stars). A bit over blown in terms of speed - just like 5G speed is overblown.

Pros (mostly) and Cons of Lenovo Ideapad Slim 3x

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After extensive research, I purchased this laptop and have been almost entirely satisfied with it. For all of the features it contains, it is remarkably low-priced. The battery life is great, there are a touchscreen, fingerprint reader for Windows Hello, backlit keyboard with numeric keypad, trackpad, laptop charges via USB-C, additional USB-C port, 2 USB-A ports, HDMI port, regular power port, 3.5mm audio jack, power button with indicator light, and one more lock mechanism that I forget the name for but is rarely used. The keyboard is ergonomic and one of the best I've ever found for typing on. It's relatively lightweight for something so large and powerful. The downsides I've noticed in the weeks that I've had it are as follows: While it does have a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello, I have not been able to use facial recognition to sign in. I get a message saying "We couldn't find a camera compatible with Windows Hello Face." It is possible that connecting an external camera would solve this, but I have not tried it and do not want to have even more external pieces on my laptop. Passkey options are often limited to a physical security key or scanning a QR code with my phone if I have the passkey already set up there. I have not been able to get either working, and both are a hassle to use. However, I have been able to set up the fingerprint reader as verification before Chrome autofills my password to a website. I had trouble installing Logi Options+ the first few times I tried, likely due to the Windows 11 Home 64 ARM operating system. It did work eventually, but it wasn't clear why.

Incredible value for this budget laptop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the thin bezels, Lenovo-quality keyboard, fingerprint reader, the solid build, and plenty of memory and SDD space for my use case. The only downside is that there is only one USB-C port. It would have been better to drop the proprietary charger in favor of a second USB-C port on the other side.

All day battery on a budget.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Aside from some older programs not working, great machine. I have CNC tiberium wars and redalert 2 and 3 running like champs. CNC generals ran but with some major graphical glitches. Older games honestly run really well on this. Combined with the battery life, I'm blown away. Screen has no edge bleed or lighting deformity. Anti reflective coating is on point. I already cracked this sucker open and added a second ssd for my games. I just wish they used the more commons 2280 m.2 ssd sized cards. The only 2242 ssd ones i could find were from timetec and kingspec. Speakers are passable and the keyboard is actually really solid with very little flex. Running team fortress 2 was pretty good too, 1200p @ medium to high settings with greater than 60fps performance was doable. If they build the snapdragon stuff into some windows gaming handhelds and tablets id buy that in a heartbeat. Assuming!!!! that the software compatibility gets better, this whole experience should get better as well. Only remaining gripe, this thing should have been chargeable over USB-C. But it does charge super fast. But at this point even the budget machines like this need to make that transition. I would safe me so much time.

Almost perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very disappointed with Microsoft for not putting enough effort into making the AI features on Copilot PCs usable. The “Live Caption” feature crashes so often that I have had to stop using it. On the other hand, I am very pleased to have a computer that can run on battery for an entire day.

budget-friendly Snapdragon-powered Windows laptop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3x is a budget-friendly Snapdragon-powered Windows laptop focused on battery life, efficiency, and everyday productivity rather than raw performance or gaming. ARM-based chips can have app compatibility limitations, especially with some Windows programs and games that aren’t optimized for Snapdragon. Tom's Guide This isn’t unique to this laptop but is something to consider when comparing with traditional Intel/AMD machines.
