Very good quality. Easy to assemble. Works well on propane. Description o line states unit is Made in Japan , but label on my box states Made in China. Happy with generator regardless.

I read reviews on other Genmax models and decided to purchase this one. I recently used the generator to power up my jack hammer. I had to break up some old concrete at one of my rental properties. I had no issues. I did have to call tech support regarding the oil fill up. The phone tech was friendly and nice. I am very happy with my purchase.

Free shipping and arrived in only 2 days. Got it out of the box and running in about 15 minutes. GENMAX thought of everything, tools, oil, and accessories were all included. The best part is the propane option no need to go get gas just grabbed the propane from the BBQ and got to work. First I hooked up my air compressor to test it out. The engine is so quiet compared to other generators. Loading in my truck was a breeze, it's so light and compact. Grabbed my welder and it powered it no problem. So nice to be able to weld in the backyard without needing 5 extension cords. You'll have a hard time beating this Genmax.

I purchased this from Sam's Club online right when I saw it. I've been looking for something that had a propane option because its alot cleaner burn and it doesn't gunk up when you don't use it often. From receiving it, to unboxing it, everything was packaged and shipped well. They took their time with this one. Putting the wheels and handle on was a breeze. Genmax put everything needed to build and fully operate this amazing machine. Also it came with solid rubber wheels not cheap plastic wheels. Its very light and easy to maneuver. Customer service was great as well. I called to ask more about the generator and they were very helpful and full of knowledge. When you have customer service like that, thats how you know this is a great product. I followed all the instructions given and it started right up. It was very quiet and powerful enough to run my deep freezer and refrigerator for hours as I was performing a remodel in my garage. This is a great product and I highly recommend it.

I ordered the GenMax model GM5500XiD from Sam's Club. After doing some extensive research of similar models in this class/category, I chose GenMax. My primary reason for purchasing this particular generator was to have something in case of power outages, which are becoming more frequent. This is especially true for the hotter weather we are experiencing during the Summers in Southern California, followed by the fire season in the fall. This puts enormous pressure on the local power grid and we end up with our electricity being turned off, due to rolling blackouts or power outages in general. My family and friends also enjoy going camping about twice a year (Summer and Winter) and we attend numerous tailgate parties as we are huge sports fans. What I love about this particular model is that it allows you to run it on both propane and gas, which gives me the option to use either/or. There is also a button that allows you to transfer between Propane and Gas. For your accessories there is a 1AC 120V 30A outlet, a parallel Input, USB-A/C and an AC 120V 20A X2. The parallel input allows you to connect to multiple generators. That is a BIG plus for me. At 5500 watts, this generator fulfils all my requirements (refrigerators, portable AC, lights, all my small electronics, phones, laptops, etc.). The inverter also allows me to run sensitive devices without worrying about them getting damaged. The other feature that stands out is that this generator is very quiet. Even when I took it to a sporting event, tailgate party, and plugged in my television yesterday, I was able to have a conversation with my friends without having to yell. This unit only weighs about 55lbs and comes with wheels, so it is very easy to move from one location to another. It comes with oil, a 2 in 1 screwdriver, oil funnel and a spark plug socket wrench. All you need to do is open the box, remove, add the oil to the generator and you are in business. It's that easy! This generator is well designed and the construction is solid with no-flat wheels. For my purpose and needs, this is the ideal generator. The price point was perfect for my budget, is quiet and moves from one location to another with such ease.

I bought this as I really liked the option to use duel fuel - Propane and Gasoline. We always have extra propane tanks for BBQ and now can be used for this generator. I also like the gauges, very easy to see and use. When it arrived I was surprised by the compactness and frankly I thought it would weigh more. I was able to move it around myself. Finally, upon using it, the 5500 watts is plenty for everything I need to get done. I highly recommend this Generator.

By far the best open frame inverter technology generator on the market! Genmax is doing something right since these guys always seem to be ahead of the game with these new bells and whistles. This thing looks and feels sturdy too compared to other competitors. I have used many other manufacturer brands and by far Genmax is the way to go. The unit had arrived perfect and came with a bunch of accessories which was impressive. I was able to power up my skill-saw for some wood that I needed to chop up where no power was present. This generator powered up this 15 amp appliance with ease. You can’t beat the price and with 33 amps available at 120V. The best part is their support center is actually very knowledgeable for those who need help, and they carry all parts in stock! Sold!!!

This is a seriously impressive generator. Packs huge power in a small package and it’s a lot quieter than my last generator. Took it camping and I powered my buddy’s airstream including AC no problem. Really nice to be able to use propane or gasoline. Have also used it for work on a construction site and it hasn’t missed a beat. Assembly is easy and quick and everything needed came in the box including oil. I called Genmax to ask a few questions and was very pleasantly surprised with how knowledgeable and helpful they were. Would recommend to anyone looking for generator. I’m going to buy another one for a home backup since you can link them together.

Good little generator for the price and power. during break-in, which I couldn't find information for in the manual, I noticed my grass was scorched. The muffler points down to the ground. This is absolutely a fire hazard. I have 5 other generators and none of them do this. they vent up way off the ground. This points right at the ground. 100% unsafe.
