I bought 2 sets for a covered deck garden since normal gardening is getting too hard. I made 2 three shelf units and one 4 shelf connected with their pieces. I had planned to put 3 18 qt dishpans on each shelf. I did one shelf in the short set. I thought they were great so got 2 more for my garage so I could empty my metal stainless steel shelf and use them as a grow center in my sunroom. I had so many plans. Then I noticed the deck shelf bending. Each dishpan weighed less than 20 pounds ... 60 pounds total no where near 200. I moved the pans so there was one on each shelf. They all started to bend. A couple days later I went in garage and noticed one of the pieces between the bottom and next shelf was leaning out and the shelf was bending. It held 8 half gallon mason jars and 3 large glass pickle jars of sugar for hummingbirds. The shelf above it has only EMPTY glass canning jars. As quickly as I could I got everything off. If it had crashed it would have been on top of my car. I am in my 70s, the temperature has been in the 90s and I have spent 3 days taking this junk apart to return. I had to dismantle my grow center and take the metal shelves back to the garage because stuff is piled everywhere. My son had picked these up for me since they weren't available to be shipped so only he can return them. It is 150 mile round trip. Sam's has always been great about resolving issues so I have no grip with them. These things are just poorly made and will not hold up. I told them they should pull them off market. I had the garage ones exactly 4 months, the deck ones 2 weeks longer.
