This is a nice ring. The stone is beautiful and quite sizable. The prongs are secure and the ring is comfortable despite its large size. I do wish the ring were made with white gold instead of yellow. I feel the purple of the stone and the yellow of the ring don't go together as well as white gold would have. But, if you like the color combination, it's a great ring!

This may be because of how large the stone is, but also the band and prongs are a bit thick and brassy. Overall, the stone itself is a lovely color, but the band doesn't seem to match the beauty of the stone.
