We purchased for our 3 yo. We have never done balance bikes. He loved it. Sadly though it did not stand up to the rigors of a 3yo and an adventurous brother. The front fork is bent when 3yo tried to jump off step of patio like big bro. We will go a step up to a sturdier bike.
