I love getting a great deal! but is it a great deal when it goes bad 5 or 6 days before the "Best by" date on The jug? I always feel like I'm overpaying when I go to Publix, but their milk usually lasts 4 or 5 days beyond that date, maybe more. I'm not sure Sam's milk is the great deal I think it is!

I am so disappointed with the expiration date on the milk when I pick up my order. This has happened 3 out of 4 times I have ordered milk! I pick up my milk on Friday and it expires on Monday. I even put in the comments this week when I ordered that I wanted my milk with the expiration date at least a week away. We have company, so I ordered 2 gallons, and they both are expiring on Monday!

Over the last few months I’ve noticed this milk is getting a weird smell to it before the expiration date and I’ve had to dump several gallons down the drain. I’ve bought milk from a few other places in that timeframe and it’s not happening with theirs. Y’all changed something because I never used to have this issue.

This has been our favorite for years. We live an hour away so I buy 4-5 gallons at a time and freeze them. The containers used by sams allow for easy freezing. I have never had any problems freezing this milk and thawing. The last 4 I purchased, when thawed, the milk completely separated, clabbered and nothing would reconstitute it. I have never experienced ANY milk doing this to this extent. ESPECIALLY sams brand!! Cheap brands have differing degrees of separation during thaw that is remedied by shaking the container a few times during the thaw process and once thawed. Sadly, I guess we are back to buying Bordens. I will say that I will try again with 1 gallon to see if it was just this batch. 🤞

The milk is good, but the container brought out more profanity than a drunk sailor. Why in the heck would anyone go to such extremes to seal a gallon of milk? I had to develop special tooling to just get the darn thing open. When the adhesive holding the inner seal yields, watch out, here comes the milk shower.

We always bought our Milk at Sams. As of late the milk tastes different? It is not from the same vendor or supplier. At first I thought it was spoiling so I threw it out. Next gallon same odd taste. And so on. Now we buy from any place other than Sams. Bummer man!!!

Sam's milk is usually good but the one I purchased at Sam's in Panama City yesterday has something wrong with it. It has a weird taste and is foamy on the sides of a glass. First noticed it with a bowl of cereal and thought it was the cereal until I drank it out of a glass. Anybody else run into this?

The milk is good, and the price is great! Those are the 2 most important features about this product. Now for the jug itself... It's different but it's fine. The seal is a little hassle but I've been able to get them off without a knife every time. It does feel like the seal will rip before peeling from the jug though.. not a big deal since you deal with it for 10 seconds and the seal goes in the trash. As for pouring... What's the problem? Adults are complaining that it's hard to pour... Really? My 3 kids all say it's easier to pour, especially when it's full, which is when they are most like to spill it. I just read one review about how the customer is ashamed because the milk jug looks weird. They are worried about what their mother-in-law thinks about it.. LOL. Sounds like they need to work on their relationship, maybe work on some self confidence. Seriously, it sits in a cold, dark, box where nobody can see it for most of it's lifespan. Who cares what it looks like?? Does the milk taste good? Yes. Is it a good price? Yes. Is it fresh? Yes. 5 stars.

I stopped buying this milk just because of the poor jug design! Its hard to unscrew the cap because your thumb hits the raise lip once you manage to get the cap off the seal under the cap is impossible to get off without getting a knife and then its hard to get all the milk out. I can not figure out why in the world they would design a milk jug like this and there is a reason that NO other company is making a jug like this, because it SUCKS!!!!

2% Milk has the same great taste as whole milk without upsetting the stomach. The milk also works fantastic in recipes without sacrificing viscosity. I do wish Sam’s would redesign the jug. The seal is impossible to pull of and one has to be careful with the first pour since the spout neck is so short.
