Unpacked box. Tried to follow the "Easy as 123 " photo instructions. Useless. There weren't 2 "#1" peices. Actually thought one of them wasn't in box. Shipping said 9 frame peices. There were 9. Finally looked at bed frame picture. Laid out peices on bed frame. Only thing I used instruction sheet for was to see which screws went where. Could have saved myself 15 minutes if I just would have done that in the first place.

I rate this box spring as fair because it was the cheapest king box I could find, and, you get what you pay for. The box itself is good, just tedious to put together. However, as all the other reviews state, the cloth cover absolutely does not fit. It tears very easily upon trying to get it zipped up and there is NO way that it will close properly otherwise. This was frustrating, time consuming, and upsetting. My husband and I attempted this task (of JUST zipping) for over an hour. We wound up leaving half of it unzipped and just placed a sheet over it to hide the metal. It's not really a huge deal to us but it's not right that the manufacturer doesn't correct this. We're hoping this box does not do any damage to our new mattress...

i wasnt amazed because i previously had purchased a zinus mattress but what was cool was how easy it was to put together, cover and slip onto the frame under the mattress (yes i know i did everything backwards ) and how everything came together like clockwork.Thanks Zinus!

I could be prematurely reviewing this, meaning it probably is a good a box frame. However, putting it together was very difficult. The directions coupled with the way the pieces were labeled were hard to read and the screws were very finicky when assembling, even with a drill. So again, my rating is not based on the quality of the product but rather on the assembly.

A put together metal frame that took me about an hour to assemble on my own. I was expecting a regular box springs. Maybe it's time to move on from that. With a king size it's a 9" platform which mashes the bed a lot higher than expected, but seems super comfy if you like a firm bed. Jumping up into bed might be worth the $100 we saved over a serta box springs

I'm a 78yr old mechanically skilled arthritic, the most difficult step was bringing the box in and making myself follow the directions. Pros: Best directions I've seen in years. Excellent small parts package, well marked, even the spares. Good provided tools. All the parts fit!!! Cons: Nothing of consequence, the cross bars are a "snug" fit, I tapped them in with a rubber mallet. Total time from box opening to setting the mattress on top was just under an hour and a half.

This Box Spring needs some assembly. My wife and I are 73 years old and had it assembled in less than one hour. This item is the best "thought through" assembly I have ever seen. You will literally never have to replace this box spring. 1st class parts from beginning to end, looks great, and will perform great. I promise it will surpass all of your expectations.

The instructions a bit confusing but overall the BoxSpring is great. One issue the rails will come out and do not really fit snug and the COVER does not fit. I called Zinus and they are giving me difficulty be careful and if you order online they will not accept purchase history as proof of purchase and Reps are rude.

We had the queen 9" boxspring together for about a week. Today one of the center supports fell to the ground. It pulled apart somehow and does not go back as it should. Currently using zip ties to hold it together and adding more support underneath tomorrow.

I don't need multiple hours of laying this out and then assembling it (20 metal rods to screw together). To hold it while screwing rods together likely would have taken a second person to hold it. Two people x two hours minimum, not worth it. As soon as I took one look at the directions, I knew after committing time to assembly, it might not be right and cover might not fit, etc..... We sealed it up and returned it to Samsclub. I ordered another brand from a local furniture store (no assembly) and even with picking it up, it was surely less time than I would have spent on this.
