This is my second time purchasing one of these bed frames. It’s a great frame, but the one I got looked like it had already been used. There were so many dents And scratches on it. And it didn’t come with any instructions. That is why I’m giving it two stars. Overall though, it is a great product.

I liked the idea of having a box spring replacement that i could take apart if i ever needed to (for size reasons). My kids and I put it together and it was a fun project. it probably took us 45 minutes or so. We did get a little confused about which way the cover was supposed to go, but we figured it out eventually. Overall, I think it is going to be great.

This box spring requires assembly. There is a metal frame that comes in many pieces which need to be bolted together. Not all the holes lined up correctly on mine. Metal bars cross from side to side and a thin fabric cover goes over the metal frame. I was concerned about the stability, but it has turned out to be more comfortable than anticipated. Another advantage is that it is light weight and easier to move than a traditional box spring, but still requires 2 people to move efficiently. I am concerned about the long term durability, but it has only been 2 months in use, so I cannot comment on that at this point.

Bought this thinking it was a conventional box springs because of the product photo. Was surprised when it arrived in a relatively small carton because the design requires user-assembly. This solved my biggest issue: How would I get it upstairs via my narrow staircase? Assembly of the steel frame was straightforward with all components numbered and all fasteners supplied. Even spare fasteners and all necessary tools were supplied. With its zip-on fabric cover, this product looks and functions just like a conventional box springs. I am a fan of Zinus!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This picture CLEARLY shows the boxspring being elevated by legs. After waiting almost 2 weeks for mine to be delivered I anxiously assembled it only to find it’s just a metal boxspring… I could have spent much less and bought a boxspring the day I needed one. Now I’m stuck with this and I’m most likely going to have to buy something else to elevate it off the floor. Beyond angry!

Arrived in damaged box with no instructions and no bolts for assembly. One support was bent and another cracked. Parts were loose in the box which was torn at one end so badly, support poles were protruding. I can’t imagine it left the warehouse in this condition and if so, FedEx should have refused it! Decided to repair the damage and purchase bolts which was quicker than 3 hours on the phone with Walmart getting transferred from person to person and speaking with a robot or automated chat thing. Will use Amazon in the future for purchases such as this.

The mattress began to loosen the top layer within days of purchase. The side is already feeling like it is broken down. We bought this for my elderly Mom and she thinks we should return it. Really not happy. The box springs came in a relatively small box and were easy to put together. A clever idea, we’ll executed.

I had learned before delivery that the box spring needed to be assembled. All parts are a strong metal. The assembly was made simple because the parts were clearly marked where they joined, all nuts and bolts were also clearly marked, and the tools to assemble were included. The twin xl I purchased fit perfectly into the bed frame. Definitely a good purchase.

Okay so this boxspring took FOREVER to get to me, but once it did it was just as described. I’m a 23 year old female who recently moved into a new apartment with spiral stairs. A boxspring that I had to put together was my only option and this one worked out well. It took me about an hour to put it together (I’m not handy at all) and is a little squeaky but I can definitely live with it. Would recommend to a friend. Pros: fit the bed frame perfectly and was relatively easy to put together in a tight space Cons: shipping was slow and boxspring is squeaky

I read reviews of people stating it took them 15min to 30min to set up but for me it took me over an hour. The hardest part was putting the cover. It was too hard for me but hey I was happy I build it myself all alone. It does what it needs to thanks to my Serta mattress my whole bed feels great and looks so tall.
