I don't know if I understood the description long I thought it was a box spring the normal ones the old-fashioned kind with wood whatever it is. But no one comes in this tiny box that you have to build and put it together it's not that hard you kind of do need two people at the very beginning. And I guess it's okay my daughter doesn't care for it her mattress slips off all the time the only reason that it stays on is because it's against the wall but in the middle of her room it literally slips to one side into the other

Bought this opposed to a traditional box spring as our house is old and the stairs are tight making it hard to get big furniture upstairs. Most of this box spring snapped together and feels some what flimsy, hence 4 out of 5 stars, but so far it's held up. We've had it in use for a few weeks now.

While the final product is very good, the assembly took quite a bit of time. The zippered wrap was almost too much for us. We struggled for over an hour to get it to fit, and not break the zipper. Seems like a little extra material in the manufacturing process might make this a much better product.

Surprised by the high quality product. It's first class design and construction. I am getting more for all the beds. One thing is frustrating ... instructions. The drawing is NOT accurate as to refer to a part. Especially the connecting pieces as which side is UP ! The drawing is soooo tiny and can't make out the part at the corner sections. it's easy to take it apart if not assembled correctly. The parts are NOT numbered and you have to refer to the drawing each time and try to figure it out....which is not exact by looking at it. Makes a difference if it's UP or DOWN when install it. Don't let this deter you, the product is EXCELLENT but the instructions need LARGER drawings then it's easy to assemble.

It's a tad over-engineered - instructions for assembly need more words, less pictures. We were disappointed in the height of the assembled bed from floor. Looks juvenile. Now we will have to get a bed frame to make it look like real furniture. Too bad we had inherited the platform/mattress frame from a previous owner of our house and we had to make lemonade from a lemon.

I ordered this item because our box spring did not fit up the stairs in my old 1920's home. I ordered is 2 weeks before it actually got to me. The delivery date kept getting pushed back every time I looked. Love the item though it was really easy to put together and simple to replace our big box spring!

Simple to assemble and easy enough to do alone, however it was easier with help from a friend. Only challenge we had was being so excited to put the mattress down, we forgot to add the cover. Trying to put the cover on while the box is on the bed frame was our plan, except we should have read the instructions...we added the cover quickly, but discovered it was upside down when we zipped it up. Not a big deal, but could be a headache to access if any screws need tightening in future. It's been a few weeks in use and I've not experienced any issues. No squeaking or other sounds, so I'd definitely recommend it.

I found this metal boxspring after becoming aware that the price of wood prevented me from making a boxspring from wood. I found this metal one but I thought it was the "click..click!"model. It is easy to assemble. The cover makes it look like the old box springs. Very sturdy. I placed it on a bed frame. I could of used a five inch since I had the bed frame and a pillow top mattress. Quest have found the bed quite comfortable. I highly recommend this product. Portable to take with you if you move. Necessary tools are supplied if you don't have any.

Didn't know a box spring could come in a long rectangle box. This boxy spring is made completely of metal and you have to assemble it. Assembly is not hard, it is a bit tedious. I feel the fit is a bit small for a queen, though. It's considerably smaller than my queen mattress so I'm not sure if the mattress is bigger or if the box spring is smaller. My queen mattress sticks off the edge quite a bit but it's not too bad. This is great for when you live in an apartment complex and need it packaged and shipped in something slim.

Was surprised that it came in such a small box. Once my 260lbs , 17yr boy put it together it was exactly what he needed. He has broken 2 box springs in the past 2 yrs. I remove my old bed frame and box mattress and used this in this in it's place.
