We bought it 2 months ago, and she loves all the features, the quiet, the low-water use and minimal detergent use, and how fluffy the dryer makes the clothes. Only issue: 2 weeks ago it started leaking some water on the floor every wash cycle. We haven't figured out how to fix that yet . . .

I replaced a 12 year old stacked Frigidaire unit with this wash tower and have no regrets. I chose this unit because it had the shortest depth and largest capacity for my small closet alcove. But the feature that really sold me was the fact I could now comfortably reach all the controls without getting on tip toes! I also didn’t think I would care much about the smart features but I like getting reminders on my watch when a load is done. I’ve owned 3 front load stacked units and I always feel like I’m making a compromise because I need to have space saving features at the expense of smaller capacity and the very likely a chance of getting the musty smell problem typical of many front load washers. This LG wash tower doesn’t make me feel like I’ve compromised. I’ve had the unit for 15 months and it works great and I don’t have any musty smells. As long as you let the wash tub air out after a load and periodically remove the dispenser to dry it out, this unit (and most later model front loads) should serve you well. I have a stacked Maytag unit in my back guest house that is about 4 years old and even though it has a slightly larger capacity, I think it takes longer to complete a load compared to this LG. Overall, I’m very happy with the LG unit and if it can go at least 2-3 years without me calling a repair genie, I am likely to purchase again. My old Frigidaire stacked unit always had to be repaired so I hope this LG can stand up over time. For a house we will be remodeling soon, I was originally designing for a laundry room to fit a traditional side by side set. But after having this LG wash tower, now I’m hoping to install two of these tower units side by side instead so we can double the laundry capacity in the new house. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Big sexy that’s what we call her the big sexy well I like everything about it except I think the light on the inside of the washer and the dryer should stay on longer I go in there to get my clothes out and it seems like it goes off real quickly and I’m not sure yet how to keep the light on while you’re using the washer in the dryer when you’re unloading your clothes out of the dryer my space is in a closet it’s tall so it blocks my light so it’s really helpful that the washer and dryer the drums both light up very nice feature I haven’t use the download feature yet so I can’t tell you about those yet I wish the alarm that told you when your load is done was a little bit louder on the machine because I’ve been in the kitchen and I haven’t been able to hear that it has finished but the light does stay on when the load is done but soon as you open the door and you know pull a couple of things out it goes off so I would like for the light to stay on and tell you you know shut the door or we could push the button it may do this I just don’t know everything about the machine yet but I love my purchase I hope that it works properly for many many years because it was quite costly so I hope that LG makes a good quality product and that it will last as long as my other machine which was still working but I gave to my brother

I would have given it a five star rating, but not being able to change the default washer settings is a bit or a nuisance. Most of our loads run in cold water. We also own an antique home, so a lot or our loads cannot use the full spin cycle do to our floors. I love the turbo wash, have not tried the steam setting yet and the height is great. Also having the integrated control panel at mid height is much better.

We bought the washtower a month ago and are so pleased with how quiet it is. Our laundry closet is in the middle of our one-story home and we never even know either the washer or dryer are running, even on the wash spin cycle! Being 5'3", I also very much appreciate that the controls for both washer and dryer are in the middle between the two units. Our previous stacked pair had the dryer's controls at the top, where I could neither reach nor see them! I found the icons and controls required a little bit of a learning curve, but I've got it down now. I do think some of the set cycles are too limited. For instance, if you choose the Bedding wash cycle, you cannot select the highest spin. And if you set a damp dry cycle so you can remove SOME of the items while damp, if you then set the temp to a drier cycle for the remaining items, the dryer seems to be confused and doesn't get the remaining items fully dry. I'm sure I'll find a combination that works for this situation, but it's a bit frustrating for now. Overall, though, the units clean and dry beautifully. My husband's shirts all come out without any ironing needed, even when mixed with items of different weights. I would recommend this unit.

My 1st LG product ever, and so far I have been pleased in its initial 4 weeks of operation. This LG Tower replaced a 28 year old stackable W/D which finally stopped working. I was apprehensive about switching to a front loading washer, but so far it works well, allows a greater capacity of laundry, and seems more energy efficient. The dryer does its job quite well. The unit appears well built. Now here's to hoping it will be durable.

It is all one unit; it has a smaller profile than regular stacking units yet actual washer and dryer drums are standard/large size. Furthermore the controls are backlit and there are lights in the drums. Also you cannot choose the water level; the unit/computer weighs the load taking out the guess work and specifies to use just one soap pod. So nice I just load and go.
