A put together metal frame that took me about an hour to assemble on my own. I was expecting a regular box springs. Maybe it's time to move on from that. With a king size it's a 9" platform which mashes the bed a lot higher than expected, but seems super comfy if you like a firm bed. Jumping up into bed might be worth the $100 we saved over a serta box springs

Bought this for my new bed that requires a box spring. I dreaded it because I remembered how the squeaky wooden ones used to drive me crazy. These smart box springs are not only easy to assemble but are solid and offer great support. Bet of all, they are quiet. NO SQUEAKING OR ANY OTHER SOUNDS!! To top it off my memory foam mattress is so much more better supported that it changed the feel of the mattress. My expectations have been far exceeded and believe me you will not regret purchasing this box spring.

I rate this box spring as fair because it was the cheapest king box I could find, and, you get what you pay for. The box itself is good, just tedious to put together. However, as all the other reviews state, the cloth cover absolutely does not fit. It tears very easily upon trying to get it zipped up and there is NO way that it will close properly otherwise. This was frustrating, time consuming, and upsetting. My husband and I attempted this task (of JUST zipping) for over an hour. We wound up leaving half of it unzipped and just placed a sheet over it to hide the metal. It's not really a huge deal to us but it's not right that the manufacturer doesn't correct this. We're hoping this box does not do any damage to our new mattress...

Almost 24 hours (in 2 hours it will be 24hrs) and the mattress is very firm and the coils can be felt poking through the top layer is very thin like very thin its like a sponge on top of springs if you lay on top you can feel them the card said to wait 72 hours will be back when the time is up and will update.

We had the queen 9" boxspring together for about a week. Today one of the center supports fell to the ground. It pulled apart somehow and does not go back as it should. Currently using zip ties to hold it together and adding more support underneath tomorrow.

I'm a 78yr old mechanically skilled arthritic, the most difficult step was bringing the box in and making myself follow the directions. Pros: Best directions I've seen in years. Excellent small parts package, well marked, even the spares. Good provided tools. All the parts fit!!! Cons: Nothing of consequence, the cross bars are a "snug" fit, I tapped them in with a rubber mallet. Total time from box opening to setting the mattress on top was just under an hour and a half.

Assembling the box spring is fairly easy. I liked the box spring but will need to return it because the dimensions are smaller than the mattress so it hangs out on the sides. This box spring is 53x74x9 and the mattress is 54x75 so make sure that matches when purchasing.

Unpacked box. Tried to follow the "Easy as 123 " photo instructions. Useless. There weren't 2 "#1" peices. Actually thought one of them wasn't in box. Shipping said 9 frame peices. There were 9. Finally looked at bed frame picture. Laid out peices on bed frame. Only thing I used instruction sheet for was to see which screws went where. Could have saved myself 15 minutes if I just would have done that in the first place.

I purchased to replace a squeaky wooden box spring - very satisfied with the purchase. I did not read the some assembly blurb so my husband was surprised when it arrived in 4 days. It needs full assembly! Not too difficult but assembly is not "some" and the instructions are sketchy at best. My husband assembled by himself including putting on the cover. It looked perfect and fits perfectly in the king frame. Tracking number was not accurate for Fed Ex so we could not track purchase; however it arrived quickly. Definitely would recommend but know you need to completely assemble. Be patient or don't order it.

The instructions a bit confusing but overall the BoxSpring is great. One issue the rails will come out and do not really fit snug and the COVER does not fit. I called Zinus and they are giving me difficulty be careful and if you order online they will not accept purchase history as proof of purchase and Reps are rude.
