falls under its own weight

Not hard to install, but it doesn't hold in place. The magnets work just fine, they are strong holding the panels together. The adhesive of the velcro attachments that are supposed to hold up the netting in door frame is not sufficient. The netting gets unstuck from the velcro strips and the netting falls under its own weight. Next, we will try stapling the darn thing to the frame. But as is, the item has a major flaw.

It works the first day, but once you use it the material streches and cant hold firmly to snap the magnets back. I have to manually pull them together. Also, critters do get inside from the bottom. I got a nasty salamander in my kitchen yesterday. Other, flying insects do get in from small gaps but definatly less with out the magic mesh. Overall, not worth it for me.

Works but difficult to align properly

The product does work on both front and back doors. The magnets work like they should. However, when installing it, the screens either aren't cut properly or the intended installation isn't clear on expectations. I expected the align the magnets then secure the screen. Unfortunately, when you secure the screen from top to bottom the top magnets pull apart and can not connect again. The screen has to be less than taut and not squared in order to make it work.

Be prepared Nice looking but issues.

Myself and three other friends and family have purchased this screen we love the way it looks and it's easy to install but every one of us had the top right-hand side of the screen ripped about 4 in after people let in and out of it for five times we've tried to repair it ourself or add extra sticky tape and it just doesn't hold up I'm not sure if it is the way it is made or what but not from overuse or hard use.

Dont expect too much

It is helpful to some degree in keeping the flies out and allowing my dog to come in and out without the need of a doggy door screen but the down side is the magnets fall apart and off quickly and become lost leaving your screen opening unsecure. Also the Velcro strips don't adhere for long. Best bet is to superglue magnet fastners as you first attach them to the screen.

Now, all my friends want one!

You'll need a hammer, measuring tape and a step ladder. The ladder is if your not more than 5/5 so you can reach the top of door frame. It comes with black tacks. I placed mine between the Velcro strips. It works very well and I love the sound of the clicks when it closes behind you. The reason instructions say not to let it drag at bottom during installation is because when a big wind pushes it open, the bottom wont click closed if its dragging on floor. .

Tears really easy

This is a great concept, love the idea and I was sold on it until I was installing it. I was installing it on a sliding door that was 36 in wide. I removed the screen door to make for an easier install but it really didn’t help. The door was just slightly bigger then where I needed to apply the adhesive strips so the company advised to fold it and tape the extra but need to keep the adhesive strips only on the seams. So I did but realized I applied the strips in a spot that need to be folded and I had already applied that area to the door, so I slowly removed to adhesive from the frame only to find by doing so completely tore the seams and from there it started to get worse. My advice is once its applied don’t remove or it will tear. Really cheaply made. I wish it was stronger on the edge and had some type of weight on the bottom

Decent product for the price

Fairly east to install, and gets the job done. We have a 36" opening, and it is barely wide enough for the doorway. Also, the tacks that come with it were very flimsy-most bent or broke as we tried to hammer them in. This is an inexpensive solution until we can install a screen door, though.

read and you decide

Do you get what you pay for? Read to the end and you decide. 1.) the push pins are great 2.) the fabric is very very thin and not meant to last but does work 3.) magnets open and close great but the plastic surround that cover the magnets have snap together tabs that break easily causing magnets to fall out (easy to lose) ...best to take plastic housing apart and glue them together before installing this product. 4.) the fabric they chose to bind the ends of the netting fabric frays a lot and continues to fray until it reaches the plastic surrounds that house the magnets. A design FAIL BIG TIME All in all, with a few improvements to rid design defects and better netting material, this could be a winner. I am now inspired to make one with fiberglass screen and salvage the parts such as magnets, plastic magnet housings and push pins. 2-24"x7" screens are about 2.50 a piece. I hope to create my own DIY improved version because after just 2 months, this one is trashed and I am a single middle-aged woman who lives alone.

Works well, just wish magnets were stronger.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the screen up very easily. It's simple to install and surprisingly durable, especially since we have dogs and kids coming in and out a lot. It does a good job keeping the flies out of our kitchen. My only suggestion would be to make the connecting magnets stronger. we had to reposition the adhesive because the magnets wouldn't stay connected if the mesh was too taut. Not a big deal - it still keeps the flies away!
