Worth the price, does its job!

Love this product. Was super concerned it would be garbage but I set it up in about 15 minutes and it does it's job! Material is to be expected of a $15 product but for that price I am very satisfied. The only thing is that if you have a glass door, you can see the black stripe through the window. Doesn't bother me but I might others. Definitely recommend to give it a try.

I LOVE IT AND HERE'S A HELPFUL TIP ON HANGING IT.

I love everything about Magic Mesh and am glad to see it sold in Walmart so I don't have to "wait for the bonus offer if I just pay separate shipping and handling" from the TV ads. I have 2 of them now and am about to go get a third one. AS WITH ANY PRODUCT LIKE THIS, you may have to do some modications of your own. My door frames have slightly curved and not-so-typical framing so the included velcro and black tacks have to be adjusted based on MY end of the installation. To get the screens up, a trusty and handy old desk stapler allowed me to have them up in about 5 minutes per set of screens. It's probably better than the velcro and tacks. Truly, I've had no problems at all with the screens being stapled. On top of that, no messy adhesive glue from the velcro to pull the paint off my framing. And, black velcro strips on a white door frame? Nah! I left about 16 inches of the screen where the door opens unstapled so my cats can easier get in and out. I still have a good bit of protection from outdoor pests. The BIGGEST benefit for me is being able to better safeguard my cats when they want to play outside. A month ago, and before I had the Magic Mesh screens, one of my cats was severely attacked by 2 vicious stray dogs. She should be in kitty heaven now because she was in critical shape. (She's recovered very well!) I've made it a point to keep the doors open and not have any non-necessary noises going on around me that could prevent me from hearing any potential distress. Again, the screens have made a substantial part of my fears become better managed and my outdoor-loving cats still get to enjoy their lives as opposed to me keeping them all in from now on. They shouldn't be held prisoner and I love to see them playing in the grass and taking it easy. I DEFINITELY WANT TO REMIND EVERYONE TO BE ALERT OF YOUR OWN SAFETY AND SECURITY WHILE YOUR DOORS ARE OPENED. All in all, I totally recommend this product! The magnets are stronger than one reviewer mentioned. They love my metal door, that's for sure! I'm enjoying the screens and in my own oddly absurd way, I love looking at them and playing with the magnets. Cheap thrills indeed. I feel like you'll be surprised at what this simple product can do to improve your indoor/outdoor enjoyment. If you have pets, I found it best to leave a bottom corner of the screens unfastened so they will find it easier to understand. The screen still drops closed after they enter and exit. My cats had to be visually shown at first and now they understand it. Also, I no longer have to leave food and water bowls outside any more than I have to. Ants and mosquito larvae aren't a good thing for them to ingest. They can come in to get their refreshments all fresh, clean and cool, and I can keep tabs on who's in and who's out. GO GET ONE OR SEVERAL. You won't regret it. I hope this helps you and I'd love to hear any comments.

LOVE IT

Needed some way for my new puppy to go in and out to the back yard when he needs to go on his own..This is perfect.. 4 days now no messes in the house..YAAAAAAA.. Took more than a few mins. to install.. with the sun and heat the tape did not stick..but there's plenty of long tacks that came with the screen and once tacked it to the wood frame.. it's perfect.. took 5 mints to fast hem it to fit the lenth and good to go.. Magnets line up just right and opens and closes as it should that even the puppy using it to go in and out.. have no problems at all.. Will get another as spare.. I LOVE IT It's just what I needed for him and keep the bugs out..

Magic Mesh Screen

This screen was delivered one day after it was ordered. These are very easy to install and allows fresh air into the house. The magnet keeps the screen closed after exit or entry. These can tear fairly easy if you have a 4yr old or St Bernard trying to get in or out.

Decent product for the price

Fairly east to install, and gets the job done. We have a 36" opening, and it is barely wide enough for the doorway. Also, the tacks that come with it were very flimsy-most bent or broke as we tried to hammer them in. This is an inexpensive solution until we can install a screen door, though.

Absolutely worth it!

We ordered this to use in our front door as a cheaper alternative to buying a screen door. We absolutely love it, was easy to hang and now we can enjoy the view and the nice evening breezes coming through! I would recommend for those who want a cheap alternative to a screen door. We don't go in and out of it all the time, so not sure if you have a lot of traffic if it would wear fast? Seems like it would be okay.

Bought two of these and they seem to keep tearing at the top. We cannot use the tacks because outer frame is metal. Used industrial strength velcro the second time and it still tore. I may but another this weekend and try a suggestion I seen not to tape down the ends. It will certainly keep the bugs out if you can keep it up. I would be a great product with some minor adjustments. Good Luck!!!

It works the first day, but once you use it the material streches and cant hold firmly to snap the magnets back. I have to manually pull them together. Also, critters do get inside from the bottom. I got a nasty salamander in my kitchen yesterday. Other, flying insects do get in from small gaps but definatly less with out the magic mesh. Overall, not worth it for me.

Works just like it says

This works just like the box and commercials say, even when the magnets are not flush with each other. We have gotten more compliments on this since we put it up. The paramedics that came to the house also said it was great, we offered to take it down and they said it was not necessary. When it was time to take my roommate out, they were able to take her out of the door quite easily. It did not rip or tear either.

I would not recomend this product. It is marginal at best. The bottom is open below magnets about and inch. Pretty cheap and I guess I got what I paid for. I wish I would have put the few bucks I spent on this towards a real sealed screen door. I would give it only one star but the price was cheap to try it and putting it up was easy.
