Not worth buying!

Very poor quality. The edging is fraying, leaving strings all over the place and the bottom has torn off. Had to tape back together.

Poor quality. Seams are severely fraying at the magnets. Extremely long strands are everywhere when you go in and out.

Lightweight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Eagerly awaiting warmer temps to try this screen out. The material is not what I was expecting but it will function as expected I supposed. The kit includes wood tacks and weatherproof strips to allow for easy hanging. I must confess I’m a bit weary to use the tacks because they will leave permanent damage. The magnet does appear to be functional even though it’s very lightweight. The black mesh does seem to allow for some privacy so that’s a big advantage. Our household includes various age ranges and species so I feel this will allow for good use once it’s implemented.

Didn't work for us

I got this in hopes of keeping critters out of the house while still allowing my kids to come in and out of the backyard. There were pretty great reviews so I thought I'd try it. Here's our experience. First of all the velcro that comes with it melted off in 70 degree weather so if you get this know you have to use the tacks that come with it and make permanent holes in your doorframe. Because the shape of the the opening is an inverted V shape, me and my husband kept getting our shoulders and heads caught in the thing which ripped the whole thing down every time we used it. Also it's not shaped for sliding glass doors, just actual door frames with swinging doors. Lastly it only kept flying bugs out. There were a host of creepy crawlies inside my kitchen after a couple hours of use. While the idea of this is absolutely fantastic the execution is poorly done. On the bright side the magnets work as promised!

perfect for pet owners and families

I bought this at a local store and it has been perfect for our family. The installation was Not quite as easy as it looked on TV but it only took about 20 minutes. I had seen the commercial on TV many times and finally decide to take the plunge and buy it at the store. We have had it up for about 3 weeks and it has worked flawlessly. I was worried it would take a long time for our dogs to figure it out but it only took them 1 day! I no longer hear the door slamming constantly by my kids. I am going back to purchase 2 more next week. I love the fresh air with no bugs!

Cheaply Made

I was super happy when I received it in the mail. I put it up right away. I was upset because within a few uses, the magnets started falling out. The magnets were not securely put in to the holders. We had to reinforce the holders with tape to keep the magnets from falling out. I would not recommend purchasing this.

Works !!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these. My dogs can go in and out with out bothering me every 10 minutes to take them out. while the inside is still protected from all the bugs coming in. But the only down side is that it is starting to show some wear and tear around the magnetic clasp.

Magic, indeed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mesh screen door really is magic! Our house has an oddly shaped front door that didn't come with a screen door and finding one seemed impossible. This solution is easy to install, easy to use, and affordable. Now we can prop our front door open to get some fresh air without having to worry about letting in flies, mosquitoes, and other unwanted guests.

Terrible quality and durability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My door opens in, so I mounted it on the outside door frame per the instructions. Going out has no problems, the magnets open very easily and click closed behind you. Coming in, when the magnets swing back to connect, they get caught and stick to the metal door, threshold, and other metal parts of the door handle assembly. We have kind of gotten used to just using our hands or our feet to knock them off as we come in so they connect back together. However, sometimes we would forget and half the screen would be open which let in tons of bugs, So keep that in mind if your installing this near metal, the magnets are pretty powerful! We spend a lot of time going in and out so I was surprised that it held up after the first day, some of the adhesive on the velcro strips separated from the wall (from the side that connects to the door frame) but that wasn't an issue really because I also used the tack/nails that come with it, which I would absolutely recommend using. The velcro strips are pretty strong, if you try to pull them apart they are really hard to separate, it will just come off from the doorframe. I kind of find them pointless, and I think you could just use the tack/nails and it would be fine.

Does the job

I purchased two of these There are two ways to put some Velcro tape that it comes with or tacking it on I use the talking it on method I have it in my garage entrance because I leave the garage door open so the kids can come in and out so it was out of the elements it has been for a year and it has been freezing a little bit at the seams or tacking it on I use the talking it on method I have it in my garage entrance because I leave the garage door open so the kids can come in and out so it was out of the elements it has been for a year and it has been coming apart a little bit at the seams I would definitely buy again Even if it lasts one year, The other one was given away as a gift that one was put in the backyard entrance and only lasted one summer with heavy use and in the elements with lots of wind and sun
