[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free in exchange for my review. I was pretty excited about it since my 3 dogs are constantly begging to go in and out. Upon opening the package, the first thing I noticed was that the mesh and the binding seemed very lightweight. The binding felt almost like paper tape or a very flimsy nylon. Some assembly is required, as there are strips that have to be attached for hanging, which is a bit tedious. Once hung, the magnets and strips offered some weight to keep the screen from blowing in. But the magnets, while tight enough to hold the 2 panels together, were space too far apart. This led to gaping holes that easily allowed flies and other creatures in. In addition, the magnets were attached in such a way that the bottoms of the 2 panels didn't align correctly, so there was a gap there as well. Overall, I was super disappointed with this product and definitely would not recommend it

I have had other brands of mesh screens like this before, and have been very happy. This one, however, I found to be very flimsy. The mesh is thin, and the panels are so narrow that they barely fit my normal-size door. The tacks are plastic & break easily. Black velcro on a white frame is unsightly. The idea is great, just pay a little more & get a better brand.

Just what I needed! Love opening the doors for fresh air. It allows the air to flow and keeps the bugs out. Love that it’s easy to open and closes right behind you on its own. Great when you don’t have any screen doors! Our cats and dog figured it out pretty quick too.

The velcro strips didn't stay in place, it barely made a difference in keeping flies out. More often than not it was in the way, flaps twisted, because they wouldn't stay on the velcro. Then the tension rod started falling. I rolled it up and stashed it in a corner, fed up. Now I'm buying real screen doors with a pet door. Save yourself the disappointment. This product was a complete disappointment.

We bought the magic mesh to keep flys from coming in our back door this summer. It was great initially and all my dogs figured out how to use it just fine. Then one day my dog walked through and instead of the magnets opening as they normally do the screen split away from the magnets creating a giant hole! I could not believe this didn't even last a month! If you use this screen door frequently you'll notice that the screen will start to rip from the seem down the center quickly. This is so cheaply made! We will be buying a different brand next year!

I have this, for about three years now. I bought one at a different place then Wal-Mart and I love it. I had it First on the entry door to our trailer. It was perfect. It took my American Bulldog about two weeks to figure out if you push on the screen it opens. Once he did that, If he wanted out, he went. It did keep all the bugs out. When I moved to a different house in a different town, I took this door with me. The other house has a good screen door on it with glass as well for the winter months. I then put this mesh door upstairs where it stayed on the entry door to the computer room to add character. It stayed there for about one year, until the wheelchair ran over the bottom of it and it took one entire side off. That place I got it has discontinued it. I am now in the market for another one, and feel that my only hope is Wal-Mart. I Love This item so much, I will have to get the more expensive one from Wal-Mart.

I would not recomend this product. It is marginal at best. The bottom is open below magnets about and inch. Pretty cheap and I guess I got what I paid for. I wish I would have put the few bucks I spent on this towards a real sealed screen door. I would give it only one star but the price was cheap to try it and putting it up was easy.

Just installed the magic mesh this evening. Thought it would be a great way to keep the bugs out and would give my dogs access to the backyard. One dog went through the mesh screen and immediately three magnets flew off. I still haven't found all the parts that flew off and since one of my dogs eats anything he can find I am praying he didn't ingest any of the parts! If you used the mesh as a base and put your own magnets on it or really reinforced the way the magnets attach maybe it will work for you. My opinion total piece of junk!

I have 5 dogs and let me tell you the Magic Mesh Screen has saved me many hours of getting up and down to let them in and out. This purchase is my 6th screen. I use 2 at a time on my patio door. This allows me to use the screen door if necessary. My dogs love the freedom of coming and going as they wish. I'm sure if they could talk they would say they love this screen as much as I do.

I installed this mesh door this morning and it never even made it to the evening. The glue did not hold with a west facing door and 90 degree temperatures. No, I did not use the thumbtacks they provided to help make a more secure bond. If I were you, I would not waste my money on such a poorly designed product.
