Customer reviews for Handy Home Products Gable 8' x10' Outdoor Wooden Shed, Choose Installation forHolds a lot
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was installed only a few days ago, so it's hard to tell how it will hold up. Installer (Steve) was polite, professional and quick. And it seems like it's going to store a whole bunch of stuff.
Great featues
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this shed 2 weeks ago it took me roughly 4 days to assemble. All the parts were easy to sort out for assembly . The only issue I had was the instructions were not clear on some of the parts mother parts.
Great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the shed the end of April it finally got put up this morning, the weather was holding them up , well this morning he finally came and was done fast and he did a great job, we have to paint. I am going to do brown and tan , thank you
I LOVE HOW IT LOOKS
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] THE SHED ITSELF IS GREAT AND MY SON IN LAW IS JEALOUS OF IT. :) IT SEEMS STURDY ENOUGH BUT I DO HAVE SOME ISSUES WITH THE GUY WHO BUILT IT. MY SHED RESTS ON RANDOM PIECES OF WOOD HE HAD LAYING AROUND. WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THAT NOR WAS I HAPPY WITH HOW MUCH HE COMPLAINED ABOUT MY PORTICO. (WHICH IS MY FAVORITE PART OF THE SHED) ALSO, I WAS TOLD IF I HANG ANY SHELVES OR HOOKS IN THE SHED I WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY. THIS SEEMS PRETTY SAD AS IT INDICATES ONE NAIL HAMMERED INTO THE INSIDE WALLS MAY MAKE IT ALL FALL APART. SO MY SHOVELS AND RAKES ARE LEANING AGAINST THE WALL INSTEAD OF BEING PROPERLY HUNG. BUT DESPITE THOSE THINGS, I AM HAPPY WITH MY SHED AND IT HAS PROVEN EXCEEDINGLY USEFUL AND LOOKS GREAT IN MY BACK YARD.
Easy to Put Together
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Disappointed that it took a week short of two months to get in, once I finally got it home and started this project I was very surprised and happy with the ease of putting this shed together. Instructions are very easy to follow.
Neutral
Its been 3 months since I purchased my shed. The focus was to purchase it to store things outside of the garage. Therfore, I could purchase a new car and it not get in the way of all those items that would be surrounding it. A new kind of Sheshed!
Great Shed for the price.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shed is the perfect size for my tools, ladder, paint supplies, lawn mower, chairs. It was easy to paint and looks better when painted. I painted my shed white with black doors to match my black roof. The window at the top provides all the lighting necessary without having to purchase an additional window. I also caulked around the roof seams to keep water and insects from coming inside. I am very pleased with my Belmont Shed.
Excellent Value
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We absolutely love our shed, it holds everything we need. It is streamline and attractive in our backyard, and the set up service was absolutely worth it. I shopped sheds for a long time and chose this one for the value
Shed Tastic
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this shed during covid. I was amazed with how easy it was to order, select & understand upgrade options. Delivery was on time and set up was contactless. All I had to do was paint it! A nice storage addition that looks nice in my back yard!
Nice shed, good instructions, quality materials
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TL;DR - Nice shed, good price, decent easy to follow instructions, kit includes all the hardware required, wood quality was good with minimal warping but nothing that prevented assembly, you need your own flooring, paint and shingles. Solid construction design and plenty of room for all your storage needs._x000D_ _x000D_ I have been wanting a shed for some time when saw these at a local big box home supplies retailer. The base price for self install was much less than competitor sheds, but does not include the flooring, shingles or paint; these are part of the Homeland install option and in either case and after adding in the cost of these items was still a better deal than the competitors. But I'm a bit of a cheapskate, more than capable to construct this shed (which was not difficult, more to follow), and had recently painted my house and had plenty of paint left over for this project._x000D_ _x000D_ I ordered the base kit along with the other materials for the flooring and roofing at the same time from the home supplies retailer which made the whole process very easy, and had it delivered. The kit comes with all the prices sandwiched and banded together between two 4x8 sheets of roofing plywood which as you might have guessed are used for the roof. It is very heavy and requires a forklift to load/unload, but I suppose if you had your own truck to haul it you could just take the kit apart to unload._x000D_ _x000D_ I live in the Southwest its dry and the ground is solid so I made a foundation of 12x12 pavers over fortified sand (mixed in portland cement), the finished elevation is just slightly higher than the exiting ground. I made a flooring frame of pressure treated 2x4s and covered it with 3/4in flooring plywood and stated assembling the shed. _x000D_ _x000D_ All the parts and hardware are labeled with a two letter code and all the instructions for the various steps identify which pieces of wood or hardware are used, the quantity needed and where to put them. I did frequently add some additional hardware (screws/nails) where I felt some extra would be beneficial, but the as designed specification are adequate for a solid build. Some of the 2x3 pieces were a little warped and it took some additional effort to hold into place. I did not have to replace or re-cut anything to fit; and its common for wood to warp as it dries so I was not alarmed to see this, but also glad it was not worse; maybe my being in the dry Southwest helped._x000D_ _x000D_ I did most of the construction myself, including putting on the roofing, but I did get help erecting the walls. It took me probably 2 solid days for the basic shed construction including painting and shingles, but I did this over a couple weekends and only spent a few hours each morning working on it before it got hot. I would recommend that two people do this, I think it would have been faster. The only thing that I messed up on was placement of the walls. Because the wall assembly uses two different sized spanners across the wall joists the wall could bend a little when lifting it into place. I did not realize that until after I had all four walls up and looked down the length. The siding is not flush up to the flooring frame, maybe 1/2in or so offset in the center of the wall but I did get it secured to the floor and you really cant tell on the finished product so I left it. It would be nice if the instructions provided some warnings and things to look for during assembly for those of us that did not know or forgot to check._x000D_ _x000D_ In the end I'm very happy with the results. The shed is very solid, looks good and has lots of room and the double doors lets you get in and out with lawn mowers and bikes very easily. I installed a number of shelves, a small work surface and loft at the back for even more storage. There are a lot of options that can be ordered with the shed, but I opted to install a third party vent in the roof, and will also add a couple vents in the wall at the floor to improve air flow and a light. I very glad that I got this shed and believe that it will last every bit as long as any regular house.
