Doesn’t open

The ONLY way to get the lid to come on and off is to remove the silicon insert that makes it leak proof. Just figured this out after spending 20 minutes trying to open this thing after heating it up. Also, it is EXCRUCIATINGLY, DANGEROUSLY hot when it comes out of the microwave. I burnt off my fingerprints trying to open it.
