Smooth, effortless razor with nice Exfoliating Bar

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GilletteLabs with Exfoliating Bar by Gillette is a kit that includes a razor handle with an Exfoliating Bar, 2 blade refills, and a magnetic stand. The razor handle is comfortable to hold, and I like that it allows the blade to rotate side to side, as well as tilting forward and backward. The Exfoliating Bar is the neon yellow rumble strip below the blades. I like that it is attached to the handle, not the blade, and that it feels smooth, yet slightly rough for that skin exfoliation. Shaving is very smooth and effortless. The combination of the Exfoliating Bar, 5 sharp cutting blades, and multi-tilting head built into the handle make it glide smoothly over my face. The Gillette Labs shaver - a "Painful" disappointm

I've always been using Gillette Products for several decades now - and still do. My beard is one that could be classified as heavy, meaning the follicles are like thick barbed wire. I've been using a variety of Gillette shavers, and my favorite two are the two-bladed Skin Guard, and the 5 bladed Pro Glide. Both render very close, yet very smooth shaves. And I can use each for up to two weeks with little to no irritation before I move to new blades. Because of my thick hair/beard, I kept reading about this Gillette Labs Razor, and it certainly piqued my curiosity. So I took a chance and ordered it, and I was anxiously awaiting its arrival.
