It feels solid in the hand and we love that it pivots as you shave. Really good choice for a non electric razor!

Features like the metal handle and magnetic stand go above and beyond what I would expect from a razor. If you are in the market for a nice-looking razor that provides a close and smooth shave, this one should be at the top of your list. Pros: - Nice-looking and durable metal handle - Magnetic stand keeps the razor ready to use - Flexes to adapt to your face - Exfoliating bar helps remove dirt/debris before the blades - Provides smooth and close shaves Cons: - Dry water spots on the stand and handle are unattractive ----- DETAILS ----- Design: The first thing I noticed when taking the GilletteLabs with Exfoliating Bar Razor out of its box was the metal handle. I like the look of it, and it is complemented by some rubber for grip. The metal handle also gives me a sense of durability. There is a stand for the razor included in the box which is a nice touch. I had never used a razor stand, and now I am a fan because it makes the razor accessible and helps keep it clean and dry. My only complaint is that dry water spots are regularly visible on the stand and sometimes the razor handle, detracting from the nice design. One of my review photos shows this. Features & Performance: The standout feature of this razor is its exfoliating bar which helps remove dirt and debris before the blades pass. I truly think it makes a difference because my shaves have been consistently close to my skin and very smooth. The feature that helps with that consistency is the adaptive “2D FlexDisc” design that contours to your face and ensures that the blades stay in contact with your skin. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using disposable razors for a while now so this thing has been a massive upgrade. This shave is so much smoother, and gets closer to the skin. The ability it has to rotate a bit is also a nice touch. It comes with a nice stand as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I must readily admit that I'm a bit of a shaving snob and it has taken me years to perfect my shaving routine, from the actual products used to the overall process. So, needless to say, I'm always apprehensive of trying something new. I gave up cartridge razors years ago, as the results were always subpar and it simply was not worth it. I can honestly state, however, that this is the most effective and most comfortable cartridge razor that I have ever used. A lot of it has to do with using the right shaving products (pre-shave, cream, oil, after-shave, etc.) for you, so your results will be dependent upon finding the right match for yourself. My immediate reaction when I tried this particular razor was surprise at the weight. Cartridge razors typically feel much too light and flimsy, but that's certainly not the case with this one. The weight is good and the handle is balanced in a way that it does not create any sort of undesirable fatigue with prolonged use. Quality is top-notch for a cartridge razor. I still somewhat believe that the claim that this razor's exfoliating technology removes debris is a gimmick...but it doesn't really hurt anything, either. I almost can't believe that I'm saying that the performance of a cartridge razor is satisfactory, but this comes way closer than anything similar. While I won't be using this as my go-to razor or a replacement to what I have been using, it will definitely be nice to have this for occasions when it might be appropriate, such as traveling.
