It’s just heavy enough that it doesn’t get knocked over and it uses a magnetic feature for the razor to stand up. It really helps the blades last a lot longer when it gets a chance to properly dry on the stand.

My son bought a Gillette razor with battery power in the handle. He bought it back in 2011 and used it with the same cartridge for a year and a half. He passed away and I started using it on my legs. I have been thinking using it every since with the original cartridge and it still keeps my legs hair free without nicks. So the same razor has worked for me for the past 11 years! In total it has been used for 13 years. What a remarkable thing. I can't say enough about the quality of this razor. Thank you Gillette!

I use a Gillette razor every day and have done so for over a decade, as I started shaving my head daily in 2009. I love their products but this is just too much. The exfoliating bar pushes the blades too close together and they clog easier than the standard 5-blade cartridge. I only used this on my face and neck, which I shave less often, but I'm not sure I've noticed any benefit to the exfoliation. The tilting head seems like a cool concept, but I didn't like it in practice. Made it more difficult to maneuver around my jaw. I also disliked the cartridge-specific handle. I love being able to mix and match heads. The base for the handle also seemed cool in principle, but the magnet is so weak it's useless. Don't bother with any of it.
