[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GilletteLabs with Exfoliating Bar by Gillette is a kit that includes a razor handle with an Exfoliating Bar, 2 blade refills, and a magnetic stand. The razor handle is comfortable to hold, and I like that it allows the blade to rotate side to side, as well as tilting forward and backward. The Exfoliating Bar is the neon yellow rumble strip below the blades. I like that it is attached to the handle, not the blade, and that it feels smooth, yet slightly rough for that skin exfoliation. Shaving is very smooth and effortless. The combination of the Exfoliating Bar, 5 sharp cutting blades, and multi-tilting head built into the handle make it glide smoothly over my face. The Exfoliating Bar is nice, and I like it over lubricating strips, but it doesn’t replace them. The magnetic stand is very heavy and has a slip-proof pad underneath. It’s a nice addition for the kit. Another plus is that it comes with an extra blade. Overall, it’s a nice razor kit, and wouldn’t mind getting it again.

The exfoliating bar in my opinion is a game changer! it removes all debris from your face before the blades pass, so it delivers ultimate closeness! No Knick, or razor bumps, just a smooth shave with every pass. With the five blades that it has you will only need to pass once or twice for a great finish. I have sensitive skin and this shaver does not irritate my face what so ever! I am oh so happy with the GilletteLabs with Exfoliating Bar Razor!

However, when I opened this one I was a little disappointed to see that it's effectively identical to previous models but with a higher price tag. I've had the proglide fusion razor for years now and all I've had to do is replace the cartridge every so often. I didn't really notice the exfoliating bar doing anything extra, and the stand is very unnecessary in my mind – I don't ever intend on leaving a razor on display, I feel like it'd be weirder to leave it out. Anyway, if you really want to display your razor or want the latest and greatest, go for this, but otherwise you're probably just fine getting a slightly older model.

This razor pivots to fit the contours of his face and didn't leave any razor burn or nicks and left his face smooth and clean. First de design is incredible, made out of a heavy metal that Makes it incredible easy to control with your fingers, the handles is covered in rubber for more grip and control, the neck has a circular movement with springs to follow the shape of your face. 5 blades to cut in less passes. The exfoliating bar leaves a smooth and soft finish in your face. It came with a heavy stand base made in the same material and color. This is really an amazing razor, I have no complaints about this product.

The handle has just enough weight to really feel good in my hand, it curves over my face really well and is just super easy to handle. The razor gives a really nice, smooth close shave. My face felt soft and smooth after using! I had no irritation at all. Also great is the stand for when not in use. Highly recommend.
