Kids love them

So good

Just received today and ate a package. They have changed the way they make their fruit snacks and use carrots instead of sweet potatoes yet they still say using bioengineered source. Very disappointed. They are on the hard side, too chewy, stick to your teeth and way to sugary tasting. Will never buy them again.

I just purchased this snack online. When my little grandson is visiting he goes in "his" kitchen cabinet that has all the fruit juices, fruit cups and pouches and fruit snacks. I sometimes get a craving for something sweet and will grab up a fruit snack myself. I sampled a pouch of these pouches today. I am not really keene on the first couple of ingredients being corn syrup and sugar. The flavors are good and there are no artificial colors and the snacks are naturally flavored, whatever that means, natural flavors can contain chemical additives like preservatives. My major complaint is that they are too gummy when chewed, they stick to ones teeth. I think I will stick to Lunch Buddies fruit snack. They both make similar label claims but the latter does not stick so tenaciously to the teeth, problem for me is, I can't order Lunch Buddies online. This review reflects my personal preference. There are many children in my neigborhood, maybe I will dole the snacks out and see what they think.

The product itself, sure it's fine, whatever, but somehow this company, which has been around since 1842, doesn't understand what quality control is. Or, if they do, their standards have gotten so lax they've regressed immensely. About 45% of the individuals packages have maybe 6 or fewer pieces in them. Another 45% are stuffed almost to the point of bursting, and the last 10% have barely any pieces in them at all. I'm attaching a picture showing a package with just one (1) piece in there, sealed with a little bit of air inside, next to a package chock full of pieces. Sure, you can say it all evens out, which I'm positive the manufacturer would try and point out, ignoring their own faults since they're achieving more profit due to lower QA standards. But now the job of evenly distributing them falls to me, instead of being able to rely on the packaging process (which, one could argue, is the whole point of pre-packaged things like this!). In addition, there was just a free fruit snack piece just in the box with all the packages. I checked, and they were all sealed, but even if there was one that got ripped open, that might be worse. Overall, I'm not impressed at all at this product, and I know I'm screaming into the void of capitalism at this point, and our corporate overlords couldn't care less about us common folk. They're making more profit this year than they were last year, and that's all they care about. Not us, not the quality of their product, but endless growth. Unfortunately, endless growth is unsustainable, so I don't know what their end game is, but it isn't going to be good for any of us.

Great snack. Easy to take with or send with for lunch.

SUGAR AND CORN SYRUP. One less customer.

tastes weak, not very delicious
