I used it to plant celery seeds for a demonstration, and they sprouted in less than a week — even though the package said it could take up to 20 days. Somehow, it manages to maintain moisture, unlike soil I've used in the past. There is no harsh smell. Looks like I may have to switch the soil I'm using for my fresh vegetables and fruits for sure.
