Excellent for many use, sturdy, easy setup

We bought this for our grandkids to use while relaxing when we are camping out and now we have found many more uses for it. Our family has enjoyed it when traveling, sleepovers, holidays, and stores nicely in its carrying case. The Disc O Bed is so easy to set up our grandkids 6-9 years old set it up in minutes.

Crazy Sturdy Space Saver!

I've been using these for about 4 years roughly 25 nights per year. Bought my first one 4 years ago, I now have 3 sets. We can comfortably sleep 6 large adults in my 12x14 wall tent with plenty of open floor space. Anyone who claims they aren't sturdy didn't assemble them correctly. We have one guy in camp that is 6'4" 340 lbs and he sleeps on the top bunk (XL size cot). Never had an issue. Like any cot, you absolutely want to use a sleep pad or cot mattress under you for both comfort and warmth. The large is perfect size for standard humans, if you are taller or wider than average I recommend the XL size. The organizers are a must-have option. The addition of these cots doubled our capacity and increased our camp comfort by 10x. They are heavy, not for back country use, but if you don't have to carry them too far they are definitely worth every penny and every pound.

High quality but Large is deceptive

Be sure you know how wide this is as I had to have the XL to fit. Length was fine but not the width. I'm 6'4" and about 20.5" wide at the shoulders. The bars were really uncomfortable and my arms had to lay on top of them when on my back. In my opinion they should rename this to medium and the XL to L. Other than that they are very well made and sturdy. I slept on the XL for months worth a pad on top and it was as comfortable or better than most these crap sagging mattresses we get these days.

Sturdy and comfortable

We purchased two Large bed sets one in green and one in black. Overall these bunks feel like I might have to write them into my will, they will last that long. Pros: -Durable, save space in the tent, easy to set up, comfortable, carrying case is well designed. Cons: -Heavy....very heavy. I weigh about 105 lbs and they take all my strength to maneuver each part of the bunk set onto my cars roof rack. We have also tried Disc-O-Beds Duvalay product with these. The beds offer a good nights sleep on their own, but any sleeping pads make it that much better.

Happy with purchase

Very well designed and implemented with high quality material. The canvas pads have a problem with inconsistent stitching resulting in slight variations in end widths. The narrower widths may not be wide enough. The distributed replaced my pads with ones that work nicely.

Not really large. For average sized adults

If your 6'4" and 245 lbs like me and thinking it's plenty long well it is. But the width specs are not the sleep surface only. Subtract a few inches for the bars on the sides. I had to return and get the XL version. However the claim they aren't stable as bunk beds isn't true I don't think. I'm big and stacked mine and it holds me fine on the top bunk no problems at all. With the security straps in place I don't see how they aren't safe in my opinion. They seem extremely well made and solid but make sure you size right. I've been sleeping in mine a month straight. Get a memory foam pad on one and it's good as my real bed easy. Without the pad is easily still adequate and comfortable but better with the pad.

Over-rated

I bought these for a set transition beds for my kids during a move. They collapsed twice when set up as bunk beds. I ended up separating the beds and the analysis by my young son (9) was they are uncomfortable. These are “large” and I tried them for a night. I’m 5’8 and they are too small for me. If you are an avid yoga instructor I’m sure you could find a comfortable position. We tried them camping and because they are heavy they just are not worth the hassle. The videos of what you can set up look great the reality is they are very heavy, made for a hobbit…and the bunk bed set up is ridicules. I had them for 3 months. They got 15- 20 days of use. This morning I donated them to the goodwill. I have returned back to a good Thermorest pad for camping and any other adventures.

Very strong and sturdy

The unit is very heavy and sturdy; it takes about 10 minutes or less for 2 people to set up the two beds; the frames are very strong and can support a lot of weight. The information included stated that each bed can hold up to 500 pounds; I have no doubt that is true. I like the side storage compartments that are detachable. I regret only getting one set since they were on sale $100 off. They are well worth the price I paid. Delivery was fast and shipping container was well packed. There was no damage. I would HIGHLY suggest this purchase for campers or even unexpected house-guests. Although long enough for adults, children would love them.

Heavy, well-made, and sturdy

This set is heavy and durable with a 500 pound capacity for EACH bed which is amazing! The bed is very long and can accommodate people that are at least 6'6" with ease. It takes a few minutes to assemble...and even longer to take apart and put correctly into the carrying cases so I see this more as a long-term project (a few days or more) than just overnight. The construction is well made and the parts fit together with perfection. A lot of thought and planning went into this design. The fabric is heavy and is not, in my opinion, intended to be slept on without some form of sheet or bedding. I purchased 2 of these sets and I am completely satisfied with them.
